That's strange. I'm normally obsessed with hers!
She sells them on e.bay

... and what do these skinny models and footballers' wives put in them, especially when going out for lunch or to a restaurant?!!!
The food off their plates...

Just watched Countdown with Nick Hewer for the first time, my impression today was that he treated the contestant (who were both students I hasten to add) like the bright pupil and the not quite so bright one who has to catch up with those at the top of the class. If he had spoken to me in that manner, I would have told him where to go in no uncertain terms. I will give him another chance soon. I must admit it's a shame Jeff has gone as he fitted perfectly into Richard Whitley's shoes, he showed respect for the contestants at all times and was witty as well. Nick IMO comes over as a supercilious school master.

Nick seemed quite shocked when she asked him whether women fans threw their knickers at him
Yes!
That was TV gold, I was half expecting her to demonstrate the 'act'

Have they toned down Rachel's clothing a bit? Whilst she still wears very flattering stuff (and let's be honest, with a figure like her's it's almost impossible to make her look bad) it does seem a bit more conservative than before. She used to wear skin-tight dresses that barely covered the crack of her arse - but now the hem lines seem a little lower.

She's still utterly gorgeous of course.

i still miss Jeff and Nick does irritate at times (the "work your hours day"rant springs to mind) but he's beginning to settle in quite well.

Better than both Des' but not a patch on Jeff imo. Of course I'm not comparing anyone to Richard.
This sums up how I feel too. Jeff was a natural - charasmatic and funny, he made it look effortless and brought the whole show bang up to date. Nick's doing okay, but he's completely changed the feel of the programme and made it old fashioned again and yes, he's very school mastery! Stand byyyyyyyyy!

Her sexing up (official date 21/9/09) coincided with her separation from her millionaire git of a boyfriend. Since they reconciled and got engaged she's definitely toned down the dresses. Shame. As you say, she's still stunning, but it's less fun nowadays.

I disagree totally about Jeff. He was Mr Bland in my opinion and I certainly don't miss him going on endlessly about soccer at every opportunity. Nick is quirky and full of surprises with a wide range of knowledge about all sorts of things. But I agree he could have been kinder to Sam yesterday. He got it right with his first comment about plenty of time to catch up but then spoiled it by adding 'not THAT much time really' when they were not yet over the half-way line. He seems completely at ease now.

Yes, it seems "that boat has left port" unfortunately.

It was great while it lasted though. Some of the outfits she used to wear at her peak was borderline streetcorner stuff. And I miss it very much.

^maybe her husband-to-be wants to bring in a third party to spice things up a bit, thus they need more room.

Glad that teacher finally remembered his manners by saying please occasionally when asking Rachel for letters and addressing her by name a couple of times. I thought it was never going to happen.

Not a single E in the four letter rounds in the middle section today!

I realise they have to be strict as the teacher did fluff his numbers today, and so could have been working it out on the spot - pretty frustrating for him though. Playing back the conundrum I'm sure Geri declared "Castigates" maybe Nick didn't hear, but she was lucky to get away with that one!

Nick is growing on me a bit, thought he was a terrible grump at first. Just wondered though, having watched a couple of repeats of Blockbusters on Challenge, anyone else think his style is quite like Bob Holness, who was like a carmudgeonly but well loved uncle, not afraid to tell people how silly they were if necessary? I loved Bob as a teenager watching Blockbusters and surprised myself how upset I felt when I heard of his death.
I think Nick works better now with Rachel not being afraid to disagree with him now and again in a good natured way - gives a nicer balance to it all.

Rachel disappoints again (by her own amazing standards), but there is a rather pretty contestant today.

Yes, it was kind of a long woolly jumper and leggings today

BIB - absolutely. Reminded me a bit of Victoria Pendleton.

Why was underlap rejected as a word today if you can overlap something surely you can underlap it as well
Rachel certainly deserves a serious underlapping.
