I get the impression that the challenger today thought he was the bees knees but he got trounced!

Yes. He was very pleased with himself over the 9 letter word to open. It was all downhill from there.

And considering all the maths A levels he was taking he was crap at the numbers!

In other news, Rachel announced today that she doesn't do watersports.

(1) the 9-letterer - haven't watched todays ep but remember a past ep when the challenger got a 9 letter word in the first round then threw away the match by, instead of mirroring the other persons 6 or 7 word declaration, foolishly going for risky 8 letter words - what a dink. Guess when I watch todays recording I'll see if todays numpty played a similar harikari styly thing.

(2) looks like Rachel broke the hearts of 100s of sexual weirdos across the UK.

I haven't watched much since Nick took over. I got really put off when, in one episode, he kept referring to the contestants as "the current champ" and "the challenger" all the way through. He never once said (for example): "Fred, your letters round." It was always "Challenger, it's your letters round." It was very off putting.

That may have been the episode where both contestants were called Chris, so he did state at the start of the programme that he would call them either champ or challenger.

To be fair, I think he has improved a lot since he started.

Now, while I must admit to not having much experience with the laydies, I am pretty sure that they each only have ONE growler.

Yes. Although there was a woman on one of those Embarrassing Bodies type programmes who had two!

I've no idea what you are talking about. I am unable to see anything but Rachel's tight, tight dress.

Is she on all week? Looking quite glam - much softer when she smiles.

Thanks, I've never seen The Apprentice so I would never have got that. I've a feeling there might be a lot of in house comments I'll miss - mind you I've never seen any of the soap opera stars they have on either so I'm used to it.

finally got round to watching the first episode after Jeff quit - I like Nick in the Apprentice because his acerbic remarks to the contestants are spot on, I still think he still hasn't loosened up enough to be friendlier and stuff.

The defending champion was SO nervous today, his chair was visibly trembling. And I'm surprised no one spotted "Province" in the first letters round

I have never seen the Apprentice, so are Margaret and Nick actors or do they genuinely work for Alan Sugar.

I had to almost watch it on +1 to make sure I hadn't written down the wrong letters, when no-one in the programme got it.

I don't think the age gap matters but there is no chemistry there like there was between Jeff and Rachel, you could tell Rachel really liked Jeff.

Margaret was his corporate lawyer and Nick was his public relations man.

Dressed as a floaty butterfly today! Rachel's slowly getting more comfortable with Nick, but she'll never have the effortless rapport she had with Jeff, and obviously doesn't feel right in the "headmaster's office" in her tight gear!

That Hilary's a bit dour and scary, I'm sure the contender would have been less nervous if she'd smiled even once.
