Lets talk....... Rumpots
Anyone ever made a rumpot? I've been looking into getting one and adding summer fruits in etc, but don't know where I could buy one.

I would imagine that the big department stores may sell them.Someone like John Lewis Partnership or House Of Frazer maybe.

Probably because people don't know what to do with them.

I just bought a rumtopf and am wondering if I could use artificial sweetener instead of sugar.

I'dve thought the sugar was acting as a preservative along with the alcohol - the alcohol alone may not be enough if it gets too diluted?

My Rumtopf is now full to bursting, filled with strawberries, nectarines, grapes, plums, pears, cherries and pineapple. Covered with rum and sugar. It's hidden away where nobody will touch it and it won't get knocked over.
Something to look forward to at Xmas.

We tried the contents of our Rumtopf today for the first time. We had the fruit with a meringue and then fresh cream on top. Omg it was strong ..... I feel quite drowsy. It was delicious though.
