Problem with old Sony Trinitron TV

Have an old Sony Trinitron TV KV-A2542U, Simply the best TV I have ever owned. Last night the set just went dead. No warning, no nothing.

When I now try and switch the set on from standby, the two red stereo lights flash from one to the other, in stead of before, the two lights coming on and remaining blinkless. before the picture comes on. (It don't now!!).

I have followed troubleshoot advice, of turning TV off for 5 seconds. Nowt.

Advice appreciated .

Is it flashing a specific number of times? (then stopping, and starting again), this gives an error code.
