Image Mixer Software
I have has the Sony Camcorder for some years now but only just noticed that you can stream from it. It says that the software that I need is called Image Mixer software but I can not find it's disc.
I do not want to pay for something that should have been free so wondering what I can do. Is there a early version that is free or another software that will do what it did. The camera model number is DCR-TRV245E |

Windows Movie Maker? If you have XP or Vista it may be on your hard drive already. It should be available to download from the Microsoft website if not (and is free).
I haven't used that particular Sony but have plugged Sony camcorders into a PC via USB and downloaded video into Movie Maker. And from what I can see following various links on the Sony website Image Mixer is essentially a video editing programme with a few bells and whistles tacked on. But can't see anyway to freely download it though. Apart from a free update, which isn't much use if you don't have the original. http://www.imagemixer.com/e/sony/imx15/dl.htm |

It seems that Movie maker can not see the camera so does not work. I have tried but thanks for the advice anyway.
