So it wasn't in HD then. Not a huge sacrifice watching it in sd i hope. Still, nice of itv to stump up for an england friendly when it refuses to do so for scotland, wales, n. Ireland don't you think? Perhaps a sense of perspective is called for, especially since sd was good enough up until this year?

The issue is that set recordings failed, so people not watching live didn't have the choice of SD.

I thought it worth pointing out that a small percentage of the 200,000 freesat owners missed an england friendly whereas EVERY freesat viewer will miss EVERY scotland/wales/ireland friendly! (unless we play england of course!) I take your point that the situation was handled badly though.

Can I take it from your comment that the regional channels aren't showing these games then, i.e. STV and the Welsh, Irish equivalents.

I thought maybe the Scottish games would have been on BBC Alba (Which shows SPL footy as well as Setanta)

BBC Alba doesn't show any live games, the spl games are a day or so later which is next to useless. I have setanta which shows scotland fixtures but that doesn't help freesat viewers. Welcome to the wonderful world of PSB, where only one part of the UK counts.

BBC Alba showed live coverage of the Challenge Cup, and will show three live First Division games in the coming months.

Although I accept those aren't quite on the same scale as Scotland games...

Saturdays Dundee United V Inverness CT is shown at 8 PM on Saturday, not too bad.
