Which camera to go for?
My current camera went bust yesterday and since its coming up to nearly 5 years now, thought its time to get a new one.
Have found two I have really liked, so was hoping to get some recommendations. The first one is - a 10.1 mp, Sony Cyber shot camera And the second one is - an 8.1 mp, Sony cyber shot camera Both are priced at 169.95 and 109.95 respectively. |

The 10.1mp is naturally a higher resolution so would be my first choice anyway.
What are you specifically looking do do with it? i.e, holidays & family photos, or for weddings, etc? |

i wouldn't get too fussed on the pixel count to be honest. I've read before that I think the maximum amount of pixels you can get on a stanard 6x4 photo is 6 million. You only need extra pixels if you are going to print the pictures at a bigger size.
I would look more into the zoom of the camera and things like face recognition |

What are you specifically looking do do with it? i.e, holidays & family photos, or for weddings, etc? Having said that I would go for the 10.1MP model. It has a slightly larger zoom, has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and has 2 more shooting modes. That is just by looking at the tech specs though. Check out Flickr and check out the quality people are getting. http://flickr.com/cameras/sony/dsc-w130/ http://flickr.com/cameras/sony/dsc-t77/ |
