Are there any good (not iPod) MP3 players with >30GB?
I've broken my old iPod, so was wondering if there are any other brands worth considering with storage of 30GB plus. Most of the MP3 players I've seen on the market are only around 4 - 8GB of storage. Are there any you're currently using or would recommend?

I have a Zune that I am looking to sell soon. That is a 30GB one. I'd rather have an iPod though.

I have a 32gb Creative Zen, which also has an SD card slot, so the memory could go even larger if you wanted! I love mine, am a bit of a Creative fangirl, but I love their players - Mrs Fluff and I have had 4 different ones between us, and we keep going back to them as they're great!

Any reason why you don't want an iPod? The iPod Touch 32GB model is fantastic if you can afford it (£283 RRP), otherwise you can get the iPod Classic which is 120GB.

Well, it's exactly 30gb, but it's also a bargain.
HMV are doing the 30gb Archos 605 wifi for £99.99 at the moment ..... which is an exceptionally good price. I imagine it's due to the newer 606 generation now being available but the 605 is still a nice piece of kit ... especially at that price! http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...&lpgrp=network |

Just get an iPod. Best MP3 player I've ever had. They are superior to anything else.

Hmmm...but if it's a music storage device and you are not fussed about being portable why not just buy this:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C12108813.htm This has an 80GB hard drive witha USB and i-pod dock. Instead of spending ludicrous amounts of money for a portable device, you can get this sony with a bigger hard drive which is a full system.

That depends on what earbuds you use. With the standard iPod buds then this may be true. I use my Yuin PK3 buds with my iPhone and it sounds amazing. I would highly recommend those earbuds, for just £25 they will blow you away.
Well said. They probably have the same or similar chip inside them, it's just Equalizer Settings and Headphones used that have to be taken into account when you talk about sound quality. |
