here's my dilemma...currently my old computer which i used is being repaired because the CMOS battery ran out...

so i'm using a laptop for the time being, and i've just downloaded iTunes onto it...basically, i was wondering if any iPod touch owners on here knew if there was a way to put songs onto the iPod touch without it syncing with the whole music library, in which case i'd lose all the music currently stored on the iPod...

would be grateful for any help, i'm useless with things like this!

A CMOS battery ran out and you got it REPAIRED? Why didn't you just replace it yourself.. it's hardly rocket science!

Advice: get shot of iTunes altogether and use MGTeK DOPISP which will sync your iPod to Windows Media Player and allow you to use non-DRM, unlocked MP3s in their proper format instead of the locked-down, pseudo-Nazi iTunes.

Some people are not confident opening up & messing round in their computers, there's nothing wrong with that.
