So what is wrong with discussing them in the "non-platform specific satellite TV" forum?

1) Comparison with freesat+ would be a platform specific discussion.

2) People looking for information on freesat will look in the freesat and freesat+ forums.

3) As stated above, "This is the best forum as it is the one in which there is the greatest knowledge of freesat+."

I am only contending that discsussion of such boxes is legitimate here insofar as the discussion relates to their ability (or otherwise) to provide a service that is similar to freesat+. If the discussion is PVRs used for the purpose of receiving the channels that are available on freesat, the overlap between forums belongs here. If the discussion is anything else, it belongs elsewhere.

As an aside, but to emphasise my point as to what the general public may perceive as freesat, go onto the Maplin website and do a product search for freesat. Likewise Amazon, but the generic FTA boxes are further down the results list.
