Over the years, there have been some pretty amazing brit performances. But which have been the best?
Ones that stick in my mind are the ones that were different... can you remember any others? Geri Halliwell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C-EKNh64NA Spice Girls http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrZKiZvpslc Madonna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMccX...eature=related Kylie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLXE6Vk_wa8 ps - Last Years Brit award performances were very good... hope this years are as good! |

Definitely the Spice Girls 1997 performance - that dress, Geri Halliwell, Who Do You Think You Are - she did the country proud!
Remember Michael jACKSON'S EARTH SONG? Or what about the Fugees 1997 performance? |

earth song/jarvis.
A true classic moment that entirely summed up British rock/pop at its best. A cheeky up yours to the establishment... the spirit of British music in one (bum waving) act. God bless ya Jarvis! ![]()

I don't think the Spicies at the 97 Brits will ever be topped. Truely iconic and amazing in every sense of the word.

The Spice Girls really defined everything that was positive about that year.

Paul Weller's performance when he got the lifetime achievement award was brilliant- the old boy's still got it!
![]() Also, Liam Gallagher's personal performance in 1996 was legendary!

1997 and The Spice Girls owned it. Geri in that dress. Everyting the word definitive and iconic was created for. No one will top it.

And although not a performance as such, does anyone recall the abysmal presenting of Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood? |

My fave Brits performances have to be when Sting won the Outstanding Contribution to Music, his set was awesome. And also Westlife as well, which may be stupid to some people, but I loved it. They were fun and sexy!!!

...don't forget:
1992 - KLF and Extreme Noise Terror opening the ceremony by doing a thrash metal version of '3am Eternal' ...before strafing the audience with blanks from a machine gun, then sending a motorcycle courier to collect their 'best band' award and finally, dumping a dead sheep outside the entrance to the aftershow party. (knowingly futile anarchy is my favourite kind )

I still remember watching Spice Girls 'Who Do You Think You Are' live and being amazed. Looking back, I prefer their performance of 'Stop' because they sung live on that one.
Leona's 'Bleeding Love' last year was great. I loved the petals and it seemed very poignant watching it back after she didn't win any awards. |

It's gotta be the Spice Girls,
Not forgetting Kylie singing the Blue Monday mash up too. Fantastic performance. Just a shame her standards dropped for last years 'Wow' - It certainly didn't live up to it's title ![]() Kanye West sticks in my mind too. With all those woman dressed in gold. |

My Top 5:
1. Spice Girls - Who Do You Think You Are? (With the dress!) 2. Destiny's Child - Independent Women (With the fire!) 3. Kylie - Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head (With the ejected Kylie!) 4. Geri Halliwell - Bag It Up (With the giant legs!) 5. Kylie & Justin Timberlake - Rapture (With the bum grab!) Amazing. |

I remember watching this as a child and thinking wow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRNkO...eature=related
And in recent years, performances that have impressed me have been these two Justin and Kylie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7jXi...eature=related Mark Ronson (not the Amy Winehouse part though!) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1muw3Ov7MU |
