There was much speculation about the Corrie Blackpool storyline and that one of the main characters was going to be killed off. is this actually going to happen? It sounds as if Jim is going to put his life in danger to rescue Ashley and whatshername but the spoilers seem to suggest that he's caught by the police again?

Does anyone know what really happens?

It is Cecil Newton who dies just before marrying Bet Gilroy.

I had imagine it was him - they wouldn't kill off a main character without it being all over the press! Also, there was an interview with him somewhere and he practically said that he dies... he falls off a boat I think?

Unless they're killing off Bet Lynch?!

You're mixing up the two scenarios. Although the boat belonging to Cecil is involved in the MacDonalds storyline he actually dies in the churchyard of a heart attack immediately prior to the wedding ceremony.

How 'hide behind the cushion' was Ashley and Clare?

Why does she act like a 50 odd year old woman in the things she says and does?

And why if she is so prim did she take her pants off in bed?!!!

Corrie always does a better job than Eastenders. Its better
written, better acted, just better. Eastenders is just full of
gobby old sl*gs like Kat and Sharon.
