I recently set up a landline with BT and also got BT broadband (just moved into my house in November). I was told all i needed to do was to pay £17.00 per month for this so i happily signed up.

Thursday, i received a bill for my broadband, and BT are saying that they will take an extra £54 out of my account for the broadband!!

Tried speaking to someone that night, but they kept going on about all the savings i am making - huh?! I therefore asked for a call back from someone who knew what they were talking about. I am still waiting!

Does anyone know what I can do next? I really do feel i've been missold

I think you may have misunderstood what you were committing yourself to.

BT Total Broadband Option 1 with their Unlimited Evening & Weekend (calls) Plan, which includes line rental, costs £18.05 per month for the first 3 months - see HERE.

Thereafter, the cost reverts to £25.92 per month.

In any case, it looks like your bill is just showing the charges for the standard 3 months in advance (3 x £18.05 = £54.15). Rental is charged in advance, call costs are charged in arrears.

It looks like i'm billed quarterly, iniltous, and you're thinking what i thought at first, but this is extra to the £17 per month

Heinz - £20.00 is apparently Dec to now and the rest is in advance. This is why i'm a but shocked. I specifically confirmed with the salesman that the £17 was for everything!
