I gather that the poor unfortunate souls who bought the SCD best of series 6 DVD have discovered that apart from the final, the semi final, and a few group things, there are no whole dances shown - just summaries of each show with short clips of the dancing.

Maybe it's just me, but that seems like the dumbest possible way to create a DVD for actual fans. Sure, they can't put everything on there, but we all know that there are gems to be found in earlier weeks, and great dancers who don't make it to the semis.

So here's a game for you. What dances would you expect to see on a DVD of each series? Not your personal favourites, but the ones that stood out and will be talked about in the future. Memorable for all the right or all the wrong reasons - from the sublime to the ridiculous. Ignore the show dances cos of course they'd be on the DVDs - even the ones we'd rather not see again (I've not felt safe around tin foil for a couple of months now...). Try to come up with a list of about 10 dances you would expect to see on a DVD for each series that you've watched.

And here's the twist. Post your choices without looking at other people's first. It will be interesting if we get a consensus!

This looks like a fun game! I won't be able to go too far back though, as I've only watched the last two series. Still, I'll have a go. I assume I'm to exclude anything from the final of each series as it's a given that'll be on there?

I've deliberately excluded dances that were repeated in the final as I thought they were obvious, hence the lack of 40/40 dances in my list!

It's hard picking just 10 dances! I can't think of an Alesha dance I didn't like last year but wanted a fair representation o f all the memorable contestants so have limited all finalists to one other dance each. Also have come to the conclusion there are too many contestants as there are loads I missed. Can I put in a vote for the final round-up of all the contestants so that everyone gets a go?
