Has anyone else come across this issue....?

I set up a new series recording for Heroes on BBC HD, but was surprised to find that Hunter (next day, same start time) was also flagged to record in the EPG, although nothing shows in the schedule. If I delete Hunter it also deletes Heroes. If I delete Heroes it also deletes Hunter.

If I set Heroes to be a one-off recording, then Hunter is not set to record.

Strange.

I had this with another series and it was sorted out with an updated EPG, the 2nd recording will only appear on the schedule after the 1st one has completed.

Yes it does it on mine, Hereos channel 108 Mon 23 21:00 and Hunter channel 108 tues 24 21:00, and further inspection reveals that the two programmes share the same Series CRID number: fp.bbc.co.uk/KLAE1D a BBC error I believe.

BBC error I believe.
They will never admit the error is their fault of course... I wonder if they will fix it?

Does anyone know of a direct contact email so that we can inform them of errors such as these? And I also would like to ask why the MotD SR CRID keep changing when there's a two week break or when it jumps channels..?

Some odd things have been going on with the Freesat EPG recently, there were many phantom entries for ITV HD so it looks like their system might have had a few problems.

I just fail to understand why anyone would want to record Heroes...Season 1 was great, Season 2 disappointing, Season 3 was dire beyond belief!!

Joking aside, (though it's true), I'm going to Series Link it as well, so I'll prepare for the anomaly. Thanks for pointing it out.

I don't record it to keep it, merely to timeshift it.

Totally agree with your comments about the quality (or lack of) of the later seasons; I keep hoping it'll improve.

Glad to see the series link issue is not a specific problem with my Humax, at least I can work around it now.

Too true. All my series linked programmes on BBC Alba never record. I contacted the BBC from their on-line FAQ service and have just received this reply:

"We've tested a Freesat receiver and we've not been able to identify any problems with the series link. We recommend you reboot your receiver to see if this resolves the problem. If you continue to experience the fault then do raise this with the manufacturer of your receiver."

I had a similar problem recording 'Click' and 'Dateline London' on the BBC News channel for 5 weeks, but that seems to be working correctly now. Also, you will note, the problem channels are both on Astra 2a, Transponder 13, which may be a coincidence or maybe not! I have no problems with other series linked programmes from various other channels.

If it is a box or firmware issue, then it's being very selective!

The reply came from 'reception@bbc.co.uk' if you are interested in contacting the BBC.
