Odd? Not at all! This is ITV, after all . But then, you should realise that .
He he, I know, it's driving me nuts.

I was also really disappointed not to be able to record Bourne in HD whilst I was out on Saturday

Rgds.

Thanks Graham, same results as me on Series Link (I'll assume you have no SL on Piers Morgan), but you have HD Icon on WaH on 977; I don't , interesting

I'll drop them a line.

Rgds.

Les.
That's very wierd, presumably same data (epg and that on 977) and different result.

And yep no icons on Piers either.

Yes, I don't understand that one in 2 ways :-

1. 103 & 977 are both ITV1 London for me, so should be the same.

2. Surely your 977 and my 977 are the same 977 ??? In fact, I've just checked it again, as I don't believe what I'm seeing !! But, I DO have the HD Icon on 103, but NOT on 977.

I'm just penning my email now

Rgds.

There is no series CRID on next weeks airing so it wont update the 1/3 schedule it's the same here using ITV central. The HD flag is present also
Thanks GC.

Could you confirm, just so I have read your post correctly, do you have the HD Flag for WaH on ITV Central on CH103, and the HD Flag also on ITV1 London on CH977?

Cheers.

Hmmm...... so you and Graham get the same behaviour with your different regions of ITV, but my two flavours of ITV1 London on 103 & 977 exhibit different behaviour

Anyone else in here on a "London" postcode that has ITV1 London on Ch103 & Ch977, that could check theirs on both ??

Thx.

If it's significant, judging by GC's location we will both have ITV 1 CW at 103.

Nevermind - even if it was available to be scheduled to record in HD, it probably wouldn't have started recording... (this happened to my recent FA Cup timer on ITV HD - posted in this thread.)

Yes I saw that post, son_t, bummer

Strange, though, all my other ITV HD timers set from the EPG, have been OK, i.e. start OK on time if they actually had the HD Flag on them in the first place (that's the kiss of death, now )

Flyer10, If ITV London is your "postcoded" ITV1 channel on Ch103, would you mind checking your other ITV1 London on Ch977 for the HD Flag on Wild at Heart on Sunday, please, and let me know whether it is present on both 103 & 977 ?

Thx.

^ That's well weird! Thanks for the info... I always thought that channel 977 was a pure clone of ITV1 London!

But it looks like it is not... or that ITV have managed to cockup the metadata so much that this anomaly has occurred!

Wow Barry, thanks for doing that.

How strange, indeed.

It will be interesting to see ITV's reply on this.

Thanks again.

.......... well, I find it interesting, anyway, too much time on my hands

I haven't had any response from ITV, but I check the EPG periodically to see if anything has been fixed

I saw that the first Dancing on Ice has now got the Series Link & Split-Event icons back, but the Skate-Off hasn't, so doesn't get picked up when you schedule the first event.

But ..... I was "playing" with the Wild at Heart prog, and thought I'd Schedule it to see what happened, even though there is still no SL Icon. Surprisingly, it offered me the opportunity to record the Series if I picked the HD option!!

I thought this was odd, so I took the schedule off, and tried again, but this time chose the SD option, it then did not offer the Series recording option. This would indicate that there are different Series CRIDs (even though they don't show up when you do "Info") for SD and the Alternate Instance HD on ITV.

Also, another quirk on this is that if I schedule this as a Series in HD, then the HD Flag now also shows on 977 ITV1 London, where it didn't before. If I schedule it on 103 as an SD programme, or don't schedule it at all, the HD Flag is still missing on 977.

Just thought some of you might find this intriguing.......

Rgds.

Indeed, very intriguing. I've drawn two conclusions from what you've reported.

1) I think this confirms there's more CRID information in the EPG than is displayed in the information panel.
2) ITV are a load of <deleted because I don't want to be banned from DS>s.

977 should be the "Audio description" versdion of ITV London and is NOT a pure clone but a seperate feed. It should have the same EPG but human errors will occur.

Well, it's happened again .........

Fri Night/Sat Morning (I'm not sure which, I was out last night), the Series Links and Split-Events re-appear on Dancing on Ice/Skate-Off, Wild at Heart, and Piers Morgan.

I haven't heard anything from ITV, bar the original acknowledgement of my email. So, I don't know whether they have acted on my email anf fixed them, or something in the system or process magically fixes these on a Fri/Sat.

If these SLs get dropped yet again on Monday (for the third week running), I've a mind not to notify ITV, and see if anything happens next Fri/Sat without my intervention. Of course, this won't really prove anything as they could receive notification/complaints from other sources, and fix them accordingly.

It's such a shame that ITV are not more responsive. I had high hopes after I contacted them the first time, I got email response, followed up by a phone call when they thought they had fixed the problem. Since then, all I have got back are bland email acknowledgements, so left not knowing whether it will get fixed or not. They should take the example set by the BBCi Tech Team, who appear in these forums under that name. They don't always get it right, but they are very responsive, very conversational, let us know what is going on, and generally do themselves a lot of good by this. If only ITV would be like this, I'm sure they'd get lots of info and data from members here to help them, and be able to avoid some of the ITV-bashing that is rightfully going on all over these forums right now.

Anyway, the Series CRIDs have been re-instated to the same data as previously, so those who left their Timers alone should be OK for the HDR to pick these up and reschedule. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who did leave their timers to see if they do, indeed, move them forward correctly now to tomorrow. I can't check this, as I've been testing, deleting, re-setting etc.

Rgds.

Sorry to quote my own post, but did anyone have intact Timers for any of Dancing on Ice/Skate-Off, Wild at Heart, or Piers Morgan, that successfully picked up the re-instatement of the Series Links, and are now scheduled for tonight?

Rgds.

My series record set up for last week's Wild At Heart in HD is contemplating recording it again tonight. Whether it will or not is another matter, of course.

I didn't need to reset it after last week's recording as I had two previous occasions.

Thanks, I couldn't check that.

Fingers crossed for tonight's series linked progs, and that they "stick" after tonight.

I'm pretty certain I had them both in with series links earlier in the week as I've been keeping an eye on them, but Piers Morgan had no series link icon in the schedule when I checked it this evening. I've just removed and re-added it to correct it (again).

Dancing on Ice seems OK still, but I've had to remove and add these things in so many times now I'm starting to lose track of what I've done and when...

What I said above is incorrect. After this evening's recording, I no longer had Wild At Heart in my schedule. I must have set it as an individual recording. I've just set next week's as an individual recording as it is not available as a series link (again).
