What I said above is incorrect. After this evening's recording, I no longer had Wild At Heart in my schedule. I must have set it as an individual recording. I've just set next week's as an individual recording as it is not available as a series link (again).
Possibly, possibly not

I've checked this morning, and unsurprisingly all is not well with these Series Links yet again

But the results are not quite the same as previous weeks.

In my Schedule List, I have "orphaned" timers on 8/3 for Dancing on Ice the Skate Off & Piers Morgan. I have a Timer for Wild at Heart for Sun 15/3 showing the SL & HD icons.

In the EPG for next Sunday 15/3, DoI & Skate-Off have no SL or SE icons, Piers Morgan has no SL icon, Wild at Heart shows the HD icon and the Schedule Clock to be recorded but NO SL ICON (even though it is showing in my Schedule as having moved forward correctly with the SL icon there).

I'm going to leave my timers alone this week and see what happens

I'm NOT going to contact ITV, and see if something automagically gets corrected before next Sunday

Feel free to report here if anyone has different experience on these progs after last nights recordings.

Rgds.

Well, the SL & SE icons are back on the Sunday progs and, as I didn't mess with my timers for testing this time, tomorrow's progs are all scheduled to record, the "orphaned" timers are orphans no more.

If this did happen without ITV technical intervention to positively fix it, something must be happening Fri Night/ Sat Morning, as this has happened previously.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of batch update/refresh process run on the Data Tables Fri/Sat, that is then fed to the Freesat EPG?

Rgds.

Watch very few programmes on the ITV channels, except my youngest daughter who is presently at Uni. watches Supernatural on ITV2, so I record the series for her, for when she's home outside term time. The recording schedule regularly updates late in the week. This week for instance the EPG updated with the series CRID only this morning. I've noticed it updating as late as the Sunday it's due to record, but it hasn't once failed to update, yet!. So there appears to be no consistency in how/when the metadata is applied for this particular programme.

Must admit it's a real pain having to keep checking to ensure the EPG has updated. My life would be more miserable than normal if I missed a recording, LOL!

I haven't seen anyone report this phenomenon before, and I have only noticed it on these Sunday evening progs, so now we have at least one other occurrance of it.

My wife likes a lot of the ITV progs, and we have them all on Series Link, with no problems other than the ones we have been discussing.

It may all work out OK in the end, but it's real cliff-edge stuff, will it won't it?, will it won't it? You feel you just have to check it each time to be sure you are not going to miss it.

Thanks for reporting it.

Rgds.

Well, no Wild At Heart next week, so that's the end of my battle with that series link. However, I did notice that the programme that replaces it, "Lewis", hasn't got a series link. So, it's still business as usual for ITV's Sunday night series. Not that that one's going to bother me at all.

Only had a Prog CRID when I looked on 977 yesterday evening.

OK, I just looked.

My timer in Schedule still has SL icon & HD icons, as it did on the EPG yesterday morning.

Now looking at the EPG today:-

103 ITV London - HD Icon, but no SL Icon or Series CRID

977 ITV London - No HD icon, no SL Icon or Series CRID

I give up on ITV getting anything consistently right

Does anyone else have problems with American Idol SL on itv2? When i select Thursdays episode and choose SL it does not pick up the two other shows on Friday.

I don't watch this show, but I'll hazard a guess at what is happening

Looking at the CRIDs, the Thurs Ep, and the first Fri Ep, have the same Series CRID, so DO get series Linked. But, they also incorrectly have the same Prog CRID, so the Humax thinks it is a repeat and does not schedule it.

The second Fri Ep has no Series CRID, or SL icon, so is not SL'd to anything at all, and does not record either.

Another ITV total cock-up.

I would suggest manual, padded, weekly timers for all 3 shows, and monitor to see whether ITV ever do get the CRIDs correct, to allow you to go back to SL. In the meantime, you will need to keep an eye on the schedule, in case they muck around with the timings.

Rgds.
