I seen this in the paper today it said it will be out in a few months I guess about April time?

This has to be the best multimedia device great for movies, hd shooting, 8MP camera, Wi-fi, music, hdmi. Anybody got a normal Samsung Omnia is it good? I am not fussed on touch screens.

Is this the best phone to get? Making the iphone look last years news?

Apparently there are a lot of sound issues with this phone.

Having had one for a few days I can only say that the sound on my phone is as clear as a bell. The only thing which is not to good is the phones signal reception. I live in a good 3G area and get 3 signal bars at best. Apart from that I would say get one. If you order from Oranges tele sales team you get 7 days to try it out and some of the staff are happy to do the phone for free.

Not got one myself yet, but a friend has and says the sound on video recordings is poor, also Orange have taken out many of the standards apps, youtube, video-editing, 1-touch uploading etc.

Agree what you say about the signal, my girlfriend got one and we live in a good 3g signal area, but it always sticks on 2g, I changed it to utms which is 3g all the time and it says no signal.

Due to the fact in the hospital where she works she
compared it to other orange users phones and their signal was fine, but on the omnia hd it said no coverage . In the end she sent it back, I dont know if its the software version of the phone that Orange are using (their own with the awful branding on it) but we will know when the other networks release their version of the phone.

But I would think about the Nokia n97 and not be stuck with a phone that has awful signal quality.

I would say its a software issue with Samsung. The phone shows a Edge connection even when I have left a Edge area. The strange thing is in someways its far better at holding on to a 2G signal. It works on 2G in some places my other phones wont.
