Who is the Next Big Thing?
Ok, who do you think will be big in the future?
I'll start off with - Alexandra Burke. - Just got a US deal. Lady GaGa - Individual. Saturdays - They could be big in the States, they've never really had a pop band like them. |

They can sing live, which makes them better than GA any day.

Leon Jackson
hahahaSorry, i couldnt say that with a straight face. Seriously though.. Lady Gaga is infiltrating the music scene very well, and probably will be big in future I think Mika will come back with a 2nd album and build on his sucess to become one of Britains top stars. White Lies- #1 album with minimal promotion- i think the best is yet to come for them. Kevin Rudolph could possibly be massive- it depends on the material he chooses to release in future. Im sure there is others, but they are the ones that pop into my head when thinking who will be big in 2009/10, that wasnt really big before. |

The Ting Tings, they're quite different to anything we've really had before.

Leona Lewis. She's already doing fantastic in the UK and she's already broken through to the US. Her album was fantastic and she has a beautiful voice. She's very young, I can see her being in the buisness for years and years.
![]() Duffy - Unique, original, fab singer, popular, very succesful artist. Can see her sticking around for years as well. |

Don't know whether or not they'll be the next big thing but I'm hoping Sneaky Sound System make it as big over here as they have in Australia...

I think Lady GaGa will be huge for a year then fade into obscurity, she's come in too strong with this pop-art, pretentious, style-icon stuff that if she changes her image she wont work and if she keeps the same image she'll be stale. I doubt GaGa album 2 will do very well at all.
I doubt the Saturdays will break America but I think they'll be huge over here at the very least, unlike GA they can actually sing, even if they aren't as pretty. |

I actually think Frankie is prettier than all of GA except Cheryl. But the rest I'd agree with.

Lady Gaga has already established herself internationally with 2 huge number 1 hits..
I think her success will get even stronger as the year goes on, he next singl which is still to be released in the UK has number 1 written all over it! Taylor swift is amazing, unique and already creating alot of attention in the UK. She was 2008's biggest selling star in the US and has just cracked the Australian market and i think she has a lot to offer and will do very well in the UK and Europe. Dvaid Archuleta & David Cook from Idol both have huge potential of breaking the UK market, they've both had big success in the US and are releasing in the UK soon. Diana Vickers has signed a huge record deal with RCA - I personally think she has the potential to outsell Alexandra Burke. The Veronicas definately have a huge it on the way with 'untouched' they're very unique and are already huge in Australia and are making a name for themselves in the US Jessica Mauboy has had 2 huge hits and a hit album in Australia, her 1st single was a collaboration with Flo Rida and i think she has what it takes to do well in the UK Shontelle - The next Rihanna? Colby O'donis - The next Chris Brown? |
