Has anyone else ever lost any other series links following a re-scan?

At some point since last night I have lost my BBLB series link on E4 - the only thing I have done is perform a re-scan this morning when I switched it on.
Sorry when I said re-scan I meant the Freesat auto scan the HDR performs when channels are added/removed.

I'm pretty sure that a few months ago a BBC series link also disappeared following an EPG channel update.

A non freesat scan deletes the whole of your schedule. A bug that went unfixed for almost a year.

Note: Out of 16 series links I only lost one.

Some programs changed series id this week for some reason, it could be a coincidence.

Just checked a previous posting from a couple of weeks ago where I noted the series CRID and just checked against the current schedule and its the same (www.channel4.com/C4080008010416281709).

When channel 4 have cocked up the id's before the program has never gone from the schedule - it's either renamed itself to link to whatever series the CRID is now linked to or it remains as an orphaned series link at the top of the schedule.

Very odd

Is it just ITV HD we need to check, or the entire bouquet of ITV channels? I ask as I've got Trinity set on ITV2 and will be a bit put out if it misses an episode.

As stated in my current thread about losing ITV HD schedules, I lost these yesterday, and was advised that it was a fresat channel rescan, and that's why the ITV HD schedules were removed.

My ITV HD schedules were re entered this morning, then the unit was turned off and went into low power mode.
Tonight on boot again the ITV HD schedules were not in the list?
Surely this is not another daily rescan?
I would now tend to lean towards a Humax software bug problem, unless someone can explain further.

But in that other thread it is thought that you have dish alignment/LNB problems.

It may be if it cannot get a proper signal on that transponder it drops the timers - I don't know for sure.

I'd wait until you get that sorted by your engineer, first.

Rgds.

Hi Les, Typical I have just pressed the red button on ITV for the Man U match and it loaded first time!!

Where is the logic. Is it my dish \ lnb or is it Freesat signal problems.

No mine was on all day until the DS freesat channel log was updated and I switched off and back on to initiate the rescan. Don't forget the box doesn't recognise an update until it's been rebooted.

Thanks GC, I'll presume it was about the time of that post then. (Yes, I know it doesn't do it until next boot, that was why I was asking if you knew the time).

You have to admit Zee sounds like something from the Magic Roundabout whereas Zing has a ring to it and with a name like that I am sure it will make the picture quality second to none.

Like you say "well worth it" makes you want to rescan everyday.

A little while ago, Bob_cat offered to take back HDR's of disgruntled owners for a refund.

I don't quite want to take him up on that yet, but I'll settle for him paying me a pound for every time I've had to (and will have) re-enter an ITV HD series link.

I take it you all press "guide" after the update?

I always find half the epg goes blank after a channel update.

Had one of the frequent channel updates on the HDR today, 0 channel added, 0 channels changed, 0 channels removed.

Now having to re-schedule the ITV HD programmes the HDR is not giving the option of recording Doc Martin in HD.
