Had one of the frequent channel updates on the HDR today, 0 channel added, 0 channels changed, 0 channels removed.

Now having to re-schedule the ITV HD programmes the HDR is not giving the option of recording Doc Martin in HD.
I'm not at my HDR, so can't check, but the last time we had a strange 0 changes update, it caused many (but not all) boxes to lose ITV HD and had to do a factory reset to get it back.

Rgds.

This can happen if you've been editing the non-freesat channels i.e. reordering them or changing the unidentifiable numbers to recognisable words

edit: Doc Martin still available in HD in Central West region

Thanks for that info GC, yes you are spot on, I was playing around in non freesat mode yesterday.

Done a factory reset but still don’t get the option for recording Doc Martin in HD yet Jurassic Park is still flagged for HD.

if the option does not return tomorrow I will have to remember to do manual record, Sunday at 9.00pm.

Thanks Savvy for your info, for some reason I missed your post not sure if that was me or DS playing up.

Can you get Doc Martin in HD on the ITV London channel (977)?

No, just the option to record the whole series or to watch, same on ITV West & London.

Just checked here. Doc Martin on ITV West Country and 977 ITV London, both have the HD Flag, and pressing OK allows it to be set.

I have gone though the complete schedule for ITV HD for next week and the HDR is giving the option of HD on everything that is in HD except Doc Martin.

I will give it a rest for now as the other half is getting a bit annoyed with me mucking around with the HDR.

I often record ITV HD on my Technomate but I record Harpers Island the same time as Doc Martin and the HDR wont pass a signal (lnb loop through) to the Technomate when it is recording.

I will let you know if the Doc returns in HD before Sunday.

Mean while thanks for your help.

Well I let the HDR get its head down for a good over night sleep and low and behold the HD flag is now showing for Doc Martin.

Although the HD flag was showing yesterday for Jurassic Park it would appear the red button man did not show for work today.

I'm getting very irritated by all this faffing about with channels. It's never anything of importance and just messes up the ITV HD timer(s). Roll on a proper channel number for ITV HD!
