Chris Brown and camp are putting the word out there that they are in dire need of people who specialize in working miracles after a potentially career-ending crisis:

Embattled R&B singer Chris Brown has hired Mel Gibson’s publicist in a bid to help limit the damage his recent arrest will have on his career. The Kiss Kiss hitmaker is facing possible jail time after he was charged by Los Angeles police with making criminal threats following a heated argument with ex-girlfriend Rihanna in the early hours of February 8 2009. The incident is said to have left the Umbrella star in need of hospital treatment and she has since returned to her native Barbados to recuperate. Brown broke his silence on the day’s events on Sunday Feb. 15 2009, when he released a statement admitting he was “saddened” by the incident and claimed he was getting counselling from his pastor and his family. And the 19 year old is taking further steps to salvage his pop star status - by hiring Alan Nierob, the man who saved Gibson’s movie career after his infamous anti-Semitic outburst in 2006, when he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

This guys career is over. Not much can be done to repair it at this point. He just can't release records for a while.

Bah this will blow over in a really short while it was just an unfortunate incident that we don't know the whole facts of.

Not as if it's some kind of Sean Penn & Madonna situation.

What happened with Madonna and Sean Penn? Anyway I doubt his career will be over. Look at R.Kelly and Michael Jackson, . He just needs to not release records for a while til it's all blown over, make a sincere apology and be man enough to admit what happened and face up to the consequences. There's not much else he can do. I think he can get his music career back on track but the endorsement deals will take a lot longer.

He might have had a chance if he originally came across as more culpable for his own actions.
For him to say he was saddened by the incident sounded like he was putting distance between himself and what happened.
To be 'saddened by the incident' is something anyone might say about some natural disaster or a car crash where people have died which doesn't involve them at all.

He was 'Saddened by the incident'?
It wasn't something he watched on the news which he was removed from, it's not something which just sort of happened, HE was the incident.
