3 Is Number 1 For Complaints To OFTEL!
Unsurprisingly 3 is Number 1 for complaints to Oftel with an average of 2.97 per 1,000 customers. This compares with 0.2 for Orange, T-Mobile and O2 and 0.1 for Vodafone.
This shouldnt surprise 3 subscribers but let this be a warning to anyone who are considering joining 3! More Info: 3G Newsroom - Oftel: more complaints from 3 subscribers. |

Not suprising to be honest, you've seen the number of complaints that people have left on these forums.
I have a 3g phone and Im not at all happy with it. I've already put a number of my friends off buying their phones. I'm thinking of buying a Vodafone phone, and according to the results they have the least complaints. |

Despite the hype in the advertisments - 3 are buggered!
Their network is totally unrelable. Handsets are heavy and eat battery power to the extent that you have to carry a spare to talk for more than 1/2 an hour (if they can carry a call that long!). Customer service is dreadful. In short - dont be tempted by the price..... You get what you pay for... 3 is bad news.... Watchdog got it right and there is a forum dedicated to discussion that I suggest those who are tempted by the advertising read before they sign the contract. 3G Users Forum (Folow the link on the left of the page) |

I guess I've been really lucky. No coverage problems, first bill is correct, handset is great and needs charging no more than my last phone. I love 3!

It'll take time. 2G phones were crap, big, heavy and eat battery power when they first started. Coverage was also pretty poor in the early years.
Trust me, 3G is where we're moving, it'll just take a bit of time!! |

Virgin least complaints.....Vodafone 2nd least...... The figures published by Oftel shows Virgin Mobile to be the best network with less than 0.1 complaint per thousand subscribers between April 1 and the end of September. Vodafone was second with 0.1 complaints per thousand customers. Orange lost the best network title and is tied with T-Mobile and O2 with 0.2 complaints for every 1000 customers. |

Oh god I never knew there was a forum on DS I could whinge about 3. I've read in this thread there have been lots of complaints about 3, anyone on here actually managed to get out of a contract with them. I'd love to. Can't be bothered as now to go into details but I've had lots of problems with them.

3 is having a poor time, no phones to sell, few truely happy customers, partner investers giving up, and the daftest idea yet - before they've even started - an Indian call centre, to upset the remaining creditablity they actually had...
