Apologies if it's been covered...

Had the Foxsat 2 weeks and set up some recordings.

I now want to delete stuff, some programmes I haven't watched. I can see what I have watched and have deleted those, but as there is no date/timestamp on the screen where I need to delete programmes, how do I know which episode I am deleting?

Other than that - an excellent piece of kit!

Sounds like you are using file manager to delete recordings. You can delete programmes direct from the media list which has dates. Press OK and delete is 3rd option in list

But remember, the 'delete a file' option is missing from the list if the Foxsat is recording.

Also. if you press the "i" button over the recording you're highlighting it gives you the episode information.

I think a "new feature request" is in order here. Having all the files in a folder having the same name as the folder does not help. Adding a date code to the name of file would help a lot, eg "Programme 090221".

Check your settings. Mine labels the episodes within a folder with date information.

Hi Steve yes it does show the date but that is in the Media view the other members are talking about dates not being available in file manager

I don't see the problem, you can delete things from media view with the dates on.

I didn't say it was a problem I just posted for clarification so new members won't start complaining that they can't find the right settings to enable dates within the file manager

Yes, one at a time. If you want to select a number of recording to delete altogether, you have to do that through the file manager. This is something you would want to do if you've not been able to delete because the box was recording, to tidy up a disk that is getting full, or if you've simply been lazy about deleting recordings as you watch them. The "one at a time" approach can be a little tedious with the time it take for the box to do each delete.
