No doubt this will be an unpopular opinion but nevermind... I don't think Roxy was that great tonight. She has the benefit of being held up by Dan which happens every year with his partners.

Coleen isn't exactly an amazing skater but I wouldn't say her and Roxy are that different in ability. Just my opinion though.

It is quite ridiculous. Ruthie seems to have a different agenda than being a judge on DOI in mind. She may be trying to get noticed to carve out a new career for herself as an acid tongued judge to get more TV work on other shows. It could be that she favours Coleen because Coleen is an ITV presenter.
Ruthie may not "get" Roxy, but I don't "get" her. Or is it Roxy's name, because Ruthie wants to be the only famous Roxy (Chicago.)

What she's doing there i don't know, she brings nothing to the table & offers no constructive criticism. She's just bland bland bland & i know of no one who actually likes her or can give a reason for her actually being there in the 1st place.

Last week she was forcing HW to go to her next by starting to speak on the end of the other judge's comments - absolutely desperate!

At least Jason 'Panto Villain' Gardner can usually dress up his comments in something to do with the performance, 'I don't actually watch you cos I'm too busy watching Dan' is a completely pathetic reason for marking someone down.

I don't think Roxie is that good but she does try really hard and can skate on her own unlike Colleen who can't even skate to the 'safe' area on her own when she gets through each week!

Yes she does. Marks are supposed to be given for the ice dancing, etc. not because you like or don't like someone. Ruthie should remember where she came from and that without DOI she would be just another unemployed singer. So what if she has been in Chicago, so have loads of others, including pop stars, soapstars etc. She thinks she's an Elaine Page or Barbra Streisand, she should take a good hard look at herself and remember that the last musical she was in closed after a few weeks because people voted not to go to see it.

I hope this series is the last we see of Ruthie. She offers nothing in the way of constructive criticism and comes across as cold and downright nasty. Roxy may not be everyone's cup of tea but anyone watching last night's show could see that her performance was superior to Colleen's. I really like Colleen but at this stage of the competition she is clearly out of her depth. If Ruthie can't see this she shouldn't be a judge - she's making a laughing stock of the whole idea of having judges. God knows what her fellow judges think of her weird marking system.

'Marguerite' was received pretty positively by critics actually, and ran for four months, closing six weeks earlier than scheduled. Not a disaster by any means. Ruthie's musical theatre career extends substantially beyond 'Chicago' too.

I've already said that Ruthie judges primarily performance rather than technique. She herself has said this. She also said that Roxanne "doesn't do it for her". Roxanne doesn't do it for me either. It doesn't mean I don't like her, she's fine, but I find other performances preferable.

What I thought was the most unprofessional part of it (apart from the ridiculous marking) was how she actually seemed furious with Roxy - she seemed to lose all composure and I just don't know what the girl has done so wrong? Ruthie obviously had expected Jason to side with her so it was great to watch him then for once not be so unpleasant.

Personal feelings aside they are supposed to be marked on their dancing/skating ability and it is obvious hogwash that Coleen was better than Roxy.

Colleen is a seems to be a nice person and a good laugh but she really should have been voted out this week. She has no grace at all on the ice and is cumbersome compared to the other girls. No way did she deserve better marks than Roxanne. We're half-way through the series and she should be a lot better by now.

And I absoutely HATED the way Ruthie called Roxanne 'sweetheart' when apologising for calling her 'Zoe'. She completely talked down to her. GGRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't this the round that she marked Roxanne lower than everyone else did ( sorry, can't remember what the scores where !) and she seemed a bit flustered by that.

I don't know if she thinks of herself as something of an 'Arlene Phillips' because she isn't. When Arlene gives critisism, it's because she knows what she is talking about and it's always constructive, she might be a tough cookie but she certainly isn't bitchy, not like this bitch.
