They could end up with Zoe v Jessica in a dance off which would leave Ray with more of a walkover if Zoe went and make the final stages pretty farcical Colleen has to go which may be why they are giving her ludicrously high marks and not going down the Todd route. its obviously not working though.

The idea of a final with Colleen, who isn't worth much more than 12, fighting a final against Donal, who does almost nothing and can't get to 20, and Ray who probably would deserve 50 by comparison is just plain absurd.”

I think the public vote is

1. Colleenplease vote her out next week
2. Donal
3. Roxy
4. Ray
5. Zoe
6. Melinda
7. Jess

Just a question, what if Ray and Jess ended up in a dance-off??? Who would be saved then??

Don't you tut at me!

I hear what you're saying. It's a similar scenario to what Rachel faced on Strictly. I still maintain that Zoe is more popular with the public as a whole than she is on these boards though. I wouldn't underestimate her.

Ya id say that voting is fairly accurate. I dont know whether Ray is so far down because people just arent bothering t vote cos he's through or because he isnt very popular.
I think unless something dramatic happens next week or week after it will be jessica v zoe skate off soon... and they'd keep Jess unless she falls over...

It has allways been obvious that Zoe is the underdog in the competition.

She's a fighter and the public love one.

I in fact voted to Save Coleen Tonight but if it was a choice between Jessica and Zoe it would have to be Zoe.

But I Love Jessica just as much really

Jessica can't do what Zoe does though either - which is why Jessica gets what she does do well and gets no votes for it. Zoe seems perfectly OK skating on her own but understandably as thats not very interesting she doesn't get choreographed to do it. Zoe isn't in Suzanne or Clare's league as she is too tall but she's the nearest thing there is. Even Melinda and Roxy have tried and probably got closer. If anything Jessica is a much better version of Zaarah but even more wow factor free as even Zaarah sometimesd managed one big lift. Zaarah ddn't get the public vote probably for teh same reasons.

The question this series is if it matters at all when the public vote is going to the weakest skater and Donal for being the best of the poor to mediocre males. Ray versus Todd would at least have been amusing.

In terms of skating if its anything like tonight they'd have to say save jessica... in a jess v zoe scenario, which judging by pubic vote is on it's way
They final i reckon will be ray, jessica (due to eing saved several times by judges), and coleen... donal wil probs come fourth... I dont really see zoe featuring unless she really ups it
Agree Ray v Todd would have been a laugh.
I think they'll keep jessica until the final. I dont think people not voting for jess or zaraah is purely due to skating, its just that neither comes across very well. But shes a good skater compared to everyone else so they'd keep her against all bar ray, unless she fell over

I think that's unfair towards Donal.

I wouldn't class him as mediocre or poor.

Many of us see him as just as competent as someone like Zoe.

Ray - no question about it imho.

Mmmmm...might need to see a photo then before that happens!

I think that's a bit harsh -I think Donal is making great progress, although I would agree the skating standard of the male celebs has been poor in general this year.

Could be or

Ray
Colleen
Donal
Zoe
Roxy
Melinda
Jess

Which only gives them two weeks to sort things out if the relative quality of performance and the public support doesn't change. They would otherwise lose one of the top3 on the scoreboard in two weeks and then have to take another to the final on the judges vote.

I agree but I dont think we can rule coleen out she's doing very well in the public vote. I also dont think we can completely rule out Roxy either... I like zoe and i love matt, but dont think she stands a chance as regards actually winning...

That was what I meant. Gareth or Duncan looked like someone coming in fourth wheras Donal hasn't managed to get past 20 marks , he's over 20% behind Gareth in marks and his marks have totalled less than Roxy and Melinda's .

I agree he's improving and had more ability to interpret a song than the other males but Ray from the start, but his overall marks and the level he's got to are still nearer to Greg's than they are to Gareth's let alone Duncan's. He's not improved enough in 6 weeks to even match Duncan's first performance. He should still be here whilst Colleen stays but coming in the top two or three with the public vote is pretty undeserved on almost any grounds when people like Jessica or Melinda have so few votes.

This is the first series I have followed closely as I have always dipped in and out of DOI until now, so I'm sure you are right about the stats. Although I voted for both Donal and Melinda tonight, I'd put Donal a fair bit above her. Also I think Donal is much more popular with the GBP than Jessica for several reasons that not everyone will agree on as, is often the case on this type of show.

But other than Ray they are all way lower this year, both the boys and the girls...
I think he's more of a dark horse than zoe, I wouldnt put zoe as a dark horse despite liking her and being a big fan of matt. I think Coleen, Jessica (still), Roxy and Donal all have a far better shot at winning..

Why would he be popular enough to get into the top 2 or 3 though? Documentaries don't attract vast audiences and he's worked on Channel 5 recently and on 5 live radio which also hasn't got great audience figures. I can see why Colleen might have support and Roxy and Zoe and Ray but why Donal? There's always a male vote but he's not particularly hunky or attractive so why has he pulled in the votes when Michael couldn't , Colleen is hovering up a sympathy/triers vote and when Ray ought to be hoovering up the pro male votes.

True possibly unless she can pull level with Jessica on the scoreboard. The judges would save Jessica and Ray over her but none of the others I suspect so avoiding a skate off with Jessica is key and that requires either moving up on the scoreboard or a bit more popularity.

Because he's a nice bloke who isnt a bad skater?
Well he's in the top 3 with the public at the moment s somebody likes him...
He's cute and a genuine bloke who's trying really hard and improving. I can see ray and coleen and roxys vote but don't think many blue peter watchers (2 years ago) vote to be honest lol
Yes she needs to do something, I dont think she'll beat Jess with the scoreboard though, Coleen and Donal and possibly roxy are currently higher with the public than her though, so I do think it'll be a her v jess soon
