Wasn't it beautiful? If only it could have been marked; she deserved sixes!

5 5.5's.

Agreed - I think that may probably have been the best performance by a female celeb in the history of DOI. Absolutely beautiful from start to finish...

I'm not sure I'd have given it 6s, but certainly 5/5.5s. Lots of emotion, though think some of that was through finding herself in bottom 2.

She clearly has no fan base - must admit I still don't know what she does/did to give her a 'celeb' status (other than marrying a cricketer). But I enjoy watching her skate.

She was in a band who were the losers of a reality show (pop stars I think it was called) who lasted a lot longer than the group that won the show (suzanne shaw was in the group that won the show - hear say). The group was called Liberty X and she was, I think, the lead singer.

Also as I pointed out on another thread, people probably didn't vote for her tonight as they assumed she'd be safe being second on the leader board. Happens every year in SCD too - although that tends to be someone around 3rd on the leader board.

I'm a fan, but didn't vote as I thought she would be safe. Will be voting next week for sure!

Thanks for the info. I haven;t heard of Liberty X, which is why I wouldn't know her. Mind you, I have to make a confession - I thought Suzanne Shaw was an actress, didn't realise she was a singer! Oh what world do I inhabit!!!!!

Your point about people not voting because they thought she would be safe is so right - as PAWSA (above) has just proved.

I'm also a fan of Jessica and didn't vote. I may have to start.

Yes please start Psychosis The better skaters need a fighting chance. I can't bear the thought of Coleen getting through next week.

I'm another supporter who hasn't been voting.

I agree with the comments above about it being a beautiful routine. All done with much more skating than lifts as well, though I'm not sure how that plays with the audience.

Jess is not my fave female celeb but she didn't deserve to be in the skate off though.

Excellent. I'm ashamed to say, that being an old trout I'd never heard of her. First time I saw her was in DOI. I think she's a lovely girl and probably the best woman skater. She could very well win this if she gets in the final 3, Ray is not popular and when it comes to the public vote he could do a Bonnie Langford and be voted out.

i think it could work in her favour her being in he bottom two
everyone knows she should not have been there like her or not.
so now they will be double voting everyweek from now on

Well it will kick start her fans into voting for her.....

As we have seen on SCD - people tend not to vote for the upper end of the judges leaderboard as they think they are safe, but vote like mad for the bottom half

She certainly didn't deserve to be in the skate off - but then, neither did poor Melinda. I hope she makes it to the final, she's the only other contestant within a mile of Ray. At this rate we're going to be saddled with the Salmon and Coleen Nolan's tedious wobblings.

If other reality shows are anything to go by, it should work for next week anyway. I'm not so sure after that.

It must have been very dispiriting for her to know she is so unpopular

It was galling to see Jessica in the skate off but in a way I was pleased as it meant they got to do their lift properly. The whole routine was beautiful.

But getting fewer votes doesn't mean unpopular; at most it means less popular.

She is by far and away the best female celeb in the show's history.

How do you work that one out?

She may be less popular or there may be complacency on the part of her supporters. Complacency that others would be voting or that even if she were to be in the bottom two she would be saved. There is a large element of dislike for Ray that there doesn't appear to be for Jessica and I think that is spurring his supporters to vote for him regardless.

What I think would be a travesty would be if Ray and Jessica both ended up in the bottom two. That would finish making a mockery of the series.
