The cheek of Sky

I cancelled my Sky subscription on 30th of January because i am now on Freesat.
I was told there was 1 month notice so i paid February by Direct debit then cancelled my Direct debit. I was told i would be disconnected on March 3rd. I have now recieved invoice for £5.18.
£1.27 for sky sports world with family pack.
£ 3.91 for Admin charge for 2/3/2009.
I phoned Sky and they said because there is only 28 days in February that i have not given enough notice of 31days.
I have worked it out that if you count Jan 30/31 +28 days in Feb + 1st March that is 31days.
Am i missing something

Well at least you’re rid of them now. You will of course be getting the daily phone calls from them over the next month making offers.
Then you will get the same through the post and if you got a $ky + box they will be asking you if you want to pay a tenner to use your recorder.

Cheek is the correct term.

Refuse to pay. Say you were told you needed 1 months notice, not 31 days and you gave them one months notice.

I have refused to pay and will keep doing so.
Funny enough i have not had any begging calls to go back yet. They will have a hard job convincing me now after having Freesat + for 1 month and find it great i wonder why i had been spending all that much money on Sky in the first place.

I recently cancelled my sky+ and gave the obligatory months notice. I checked my sky account to make sure they hadn't taken any more money off me and low and behold they had.

I called sky and they had not cancelled the sky+ subscription after a quick email it was sorted, it just made me wonder what part of I want to cancel all of my sky they didn't understand.

Any way I now have a freeview pvr and hopefully a freesat pvr to follow and I'm not missing sky one little bit.
