Under no circumstances let Richard Madely anywhere near SCD

And I would quite like Erin to win this year after being mugged by the judges in last years quarter finals

Still can't fathom why Lisa was adjudged to deserve a place in the semis rather than Austin

I think all the Semi-final and the fnal contestants from each series should come back. That would be woth watching, X

It certainly would

That would mean some great dancing

It's never going to happen, though

what about nicola from girls aloud”

that would be great, one of girls aloud on scd is like a dream for me ! i do think kimberley would be more suited / likely to do it though.

cheryl used to prefer strictly to x factor, i'm pretty sure that's not the case now but i'm sure she wouldn't mind.

I wouldn't mind Damon Hill on SCD- he's a tall guy- so, a good one for Erin maybe

Richard Armitage is well over 6ft so way too tall for Lilia - shame as they'd make an excellent couple. He'd most likely get Erin or at a push Hayley or Kristina

Hooray - a list of suggestions that bears some resemblance to what we might end up with.

Sorry, but, with the greatest respect, the likes of David Tennant have no reason to go anywhere near Strictly. It wouldn't raise his profile any more and wouldn't pay more than the film/TV work he'll have people queuing up to offer him.

Aisnley Herriot has already turned down SCD - because he said he'd be competing against too many people with previous dance experience ...

And Faye Tozer is exactly the kind of contestant we don't need. Another personality-free nineties manufactured pop muppet desperate to revive her career - cue Bruno and Craig gushing ...

Ok point taken, but as the thread is titled "who would you like to see" "Not Who do you think will be"then i think that the lists have been quite interesting

The daughter of a fiend of mine won a competition to meet Girls Aloud last year.....He thought both Kimberly and Nicola were utterly charming....Nicola surprised him the most as she does`t seem to receive anywhere near the same amount of press as the rest of the girls and so he did`t know what to expect....but she came across as a lovely young woman who seemed genuinely interested in my friends daughter`s hobbies and school....Apparently she`s very down to earth with absolutely no airs and graces.I`d love to see either Nicola or Kimberly on SCD.....They hardly need the media exposure or cash, so if they did participate it would be because they wanted to be on the show....with no ulterior motive

Just been reading next week's RT where historian Simon Sharma reveals in the question bit at the back that he was approached to do Strictly and would have said yes apart from the time commitment. He wants to tango apparently and I wonder if he might do a special one thingy that let him do that.

Well, so far there's been reports of Kara Tointon, Sharon Osborne and Richard & Judy. Kara would probably be good but I'd really rather Sharon, Richard and Judy didn't do it

Amanda Mealing, who a few people have mentioned, would probably also be good to watch.

So would Rebecca Adlington, who's also been mentioned a few times. (Didn't someone say she wanted to do it last year but didn't get back from the Olympics in time?) She was in the audience once or twice during series 6, so I'd say it's a fair guess she likes SCD.

A few people have mentioned Fern Britten and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she does it. She'd probably be good too: she was quite good on Let's Dance for Comic Relief.

Someone also mentioned Jennifer Saunders but she's never done any other reality tv show... her husband, Ade Edmonton, on the other hand, has done a couple so it wouldn't surprise me if he popped up on SCD one day.

Also, Felicity Kendall was in the audience a lot during SCD6 and was even asked to help Christine get into character one week, so I've a feeling she might do SCD7. I'd imagine she'd be as good as Cherie.

Angela Rippon's also said a few times she'd love to do it but I believe she's got a lot of dance training so I'm not sure she'd be allowed to do it.

There was a report today of Joe Calzaghe taking part, don't know how true it is.

(Don't know if that's how you spell it, either)

Angela Rippon actually made a training DVD with Ian years ago... IMO she shouldn't be allowed, although I think she's a lovely woman...

I think she has a lot of dance experience. Wasn't she on that Comic Relief thing that Robert Webb won?
