Can anyone explain how to format the hard disk fully for video?I won't use the music and picture partition so would like to get that space back.

Warning you will lose all your recordings
Choose menu/system/hdd control/format hdd
Select both partitions to format
A slider appears, drag it all the way to the right to reduce photo/music to minimum of 1 Gb. Select OK and confirm.
That's it

I think (though I maybe wrong) that you have to have at least 1 GB partition for music/photos whether you want it or not?

I think that was summarised on the post above.
