What are your hopes and expectations for Big Brother 3 (if there is one). I've heard that Davina won't be presenting it and that they'll have to do it in a different house because the current one has to be demolished.

I'd like Dermot from BBLB to present the Friday eviction show if Davina quits. He seems like the right sort of person and is great on BBLB.

Here are a few short points that could improve it:
[list][*]The Friday eviction show should be in one part and the contestant only has a few minutes to leave after the announcement is made. The Friday show could have live music and special guests including footage from the previous day and events leading up to the eviction[*]Why don't we have any BB during the weekend? Weekend shows would be better than an extended show on Monday.[*]Housemates are allowed to scheme to win the prize money - I've watched Survivor and it does make good viewing![*]The format shouldn't change too much - the public should be able to have the deciding vote[*]The production team give the group alcohol more often, by giving out more mini tasks and challenges[*]No boring people next year![/list]

Well, E4 cant have password protection because Cable and ITV Digital cant have parental guidance.

You could just have the option to remove the cencorship on Sky, and have it censored on cable and ITV Digital (if ITV digital it is still around then )

Another good thing for BB3 might be to have the nominations out in the open, so everyone hears.. that would certainly add a new dimension to the whole thing!

Ya- I think that Dermot would be great for the job!
Maybe they (Davina and Dermot) could co-present the Friday nite shows. Davina could do the announcements to house and interview with the evicted contestant and Dermot could do the run up to the house to collect the evicted contestant, talk to the nominated contestants, families and the crowd stuff.

It would be great if the evicted contestant did a live chat on the web-site on the saturday/sunday.

I think that it should be longer as well- maybe 10 weeks as opposed to 9 and for there to be 12 contestants like the American version.

And contestant-wise, they should keep the variety of mixed races and ages etc.

Oh ya, and more surprises (extra rooms etc.) and have a really modern looking house.

Good point about E4 camera angles. That is one thing Id like to see improved immensly. I get fed up with prolonged shots of the diary room dorr, or the aerial view of the outside of the house. I also get fed up with protracted close ups of a housemates face, when their is clearly others thing going on you cant see. eg in a group activity you want to see whats happening, NOT a long close up of Dean (for eg) , falling asleep.
and WHY cant they have a short bleep when censoring swear words. it IS possible. For example, TFI Live with Chris Evans used to have a 2 minite delay, and this was enough time to bleep out offending words..(approx 3 seconds of sound cut). with E4, we seem to get long blanks, even for just one swear word.

Um Telewest lets you protect channels with passowrds

There is more cable compinies then telewest though, but there es not parental channel protection. Its has to be done manually which makes it impossible.

Pin protection of channels is available on NTL with the new software being put out at the moment.

Athough this seems to be a good idea, it makes things unfair on those first to nominate, and gives an unfair advantage to those later in the alphabet... for example, if Brian were to vote for Paul and Stuart, they might then reciprocate by voting for Brian, regardless of who they intended to vote for in the first instance. Especially if it would influence the final outcome.

For this to work, the housemates would need to log nominations with BB beforehand, which brings us back to the current situation.

Do anyone really think there will be a BB3, never mind a BB4 (which has been mentioned in another thread).

I think unless the producers come up with some really startling ideas then there won't be enough interest in a future BB. This year, despite, or because of, the extended coverage available on E4, and also Big Brother's Little Brother (which is excellent), I think we're into over-saturation. Admittedly it's great that we can watch so much more but honestly the contestants aren't really *that* exciting. There are *so* many periods of dull conversation (not to mention sound blanks) even though you get dull conversation in real life.

There are so many people I know who really haven't watched BB as much this year as they did last year, and some of them do have E4. Most of them just are interested and can't explain further why they're not. I'm beginning to think that apart from the coverage on E4 and the 11th housemate, this year's BB is very little different to last year's BB.

The one good point is that for those of us that do like and enjoy BB, the coverage on E4 and the proliferation of internet sites and bulletin boards devoted to BB means we're up to the minute with what's going on - if anything's going on.

I have no doubt that there will be another BB but because they have to resite the whole thing that in itself will make the whole thing unique again.

Also they will probably find more people that are single to create more chance of things happening! Cant be bad.

The task will no doubt be harder but they should add the insentive that if they pass the task, not only do they increase the shopping budget but also they add £500 or so to the total prize money. This may create more aggression to get the task right.
Of course that may be too mean.!

And as for the hot tub.....
They should be made to read the instructions so they realise they can turn the haet of it down so they get more use out of it.

And Dermot should host it.

yes I know it is but there (is and i dont know how many times i need to point this out) NO parental protection which is what is needed accross all 3 platforms for such an uncencored version to exist. At the moment only SKY has parental protection but not ITV Digital or cable do so thats why there is NO uncencored version this year and there wont be next year.
