I love cooking. I doubt Gordon Ramsay would be too impressed with some of my creations mind you, but I've never poisoned anyone yet that I know of.

I have to cook or we would all starve. If you have a good basic cookery book and have the incentive to cook then anyone can cook.
I particularly enjoy baking cakes and puddings.

I can, I've been cooking for 45 years, not gourmet standard though. Just your basic everyday cooking.

My partner is an excellent cook, especially when he makes his Asian dishes. He even cooks for the elderly who live in our block of flats, providing them with nourishing, tasty, healthy dishes. I make cakes and sweets but I'm completely hopeless when it comes to making savory dishes (though partner completely disagrees).

I can only assume that schools don't bother teaching either spelling or grammar in the past 15 years or so.
Meanwhile....back on topic. I'm a damn good cook though I say it myself. I can cook virtually anything from scratch, but confess to being happy to use a shortcut when necessary. Delia's revelation for the all-in-one victoria sandwich changed my methods and I've never looked back....and that was at least 35 years ago! The one thing I have NEVER made successfully, is a decent curry. I don't know why, as I've tried all sorts of recipes, but they are either a stew or so damn hot you can't taste anything after the first mouthful anyway! Hence curries in my house are always either jars of masala cook in sauce type things, or the Goldfish curry paste from the Chinese supermarket.
