I have an LG3350 DVD player and am having problems with the Red Dwaft III extras disc. The menu page doesn't work at all, the curser doesn't move and if I try left or right etc then keep pressing enter I get a random selection eventually. Anyone else had such a problem on this disc or a simular problem with any other DVD???

I have now done a Google search and found its not just me, thought I'd post this in case anyone else is having the same problems on here....

We understand that a small number of customers are experiencing difficulties in accessing the bonus features on disc 2 of the Red Dwarf Series III DVD. It may be that a minority of low range or older DVD players have a compatibility issue, however the majority of customers won't have any problem at all.
If you are experiencing playback problems please call the BBC Worldwide DVD helpline on 0870 241 0624 and have ready the details of the problem and the make and model number of the player concerned so we can track the problematic hardware.
From the Red Dwarf website

I'll be giving them a call in the morning!

My advice.....Buy Spaced series one and two, they play no problem and they are much, much funnier.

Sorry

Thom, I think it should be an offence to waste people's time with posts like yours..I have Spaced series 1 and 2, yes they are funny..but nothing to do with this thread.

I spoke to BBC WW and they are looking into the problem with older and some cheap DVD players. We are long way from re-issues of the discs but progress is progress I guess.

It wont play properly on my Samasung S224
It will play on my PC a Panasonic SR8585

I have found problems like this before as there is no end of poorly written DVDs. So much for standards.

Temper temper. Play it cool like Danny John-Jules. Or have you had your sense of humour stolen by a smegging polymorph? You sad ****ing nob.

It was a joke, I didn't want to offend anybodfy but ultimatley that's what has to happen for a joke to work.

You say you think it should be an offence to waste peoples time when what I think you mean is that it should be an offence to have general conversation, so basically you want to censor me, that's a little bit facist in my opinion, but hey it's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

Fact of the matter is that Red Dwarf is shite , however I wouldn't dream of stopping anybody watching it, I was just expressing an opinion.

If offence has been caused I am truly deeply sorry.
