Mishavonna is the best of the girl so far in the groups, IMO,but that isn't saying much. Sadly, none have been that great, though hopefully with the right songs that will change.
The guys were not that good either, and even Adam was a disapointment, though I do think he has a good voice. He has a reasonably big voice, but not enough to sing the extremes he tries for. It's a shame, because, while he is no Freddie or Steve Tyler, he still has a better basic voice than most , and if he calms down he could be something uniquely special, IMO. He just needs to stop trying to be a heavyweight when he's a middle weight, because the heavyweight singing attempts kick his vocally excellent but middleweight a55 .
Norman/Nick was hilarious, and I love the way he took one of the songs that typically gets over-sung and turned it to comedy gold. I also liked how he dropped the joke to show he could actually sing, nailing one of the big notes at the end in tune and without shouting, which is more than can be said for any recent karaoke-tastic Idol or X Factor performances of the song.
Mishovanna sang well , and her tone was lovely, as was her delivery. She has a good basic voice and knows how to use it. I thought she 'sold' the song well, and she has stage presence.
I wanted to like some of the others, but they just weren't singing very well. I think Megan or Allison could be interesting with a more suitable song, so won't write them off just yet and wouldn't be sorry to see either get another chance if Mishovanna doesn't.
Jessie at least chose a song that made the most of her voice, but I think we heard the best she can do and, while it was reasonably good, it's not enough.
Jasmine's song choice may have cost her a wildcard spot.
I liked Adam and Mishovanna best this week.
