Hi
Can someone please tell me does all that prize money come from in Deal or No Deal?
I know previously they had the phone in, etc,

Surely it's not coming out of the production budget.

Why is that hard to believe? How much do they actually give away in any one ep? The advertising revenue is probably pretty high because it's (inexplicably) popular and shows like that are very cheap to produce.

They sold the format all over the place. Total winnings per series are probably less than half a mill.

Endemol have but that has nothing to do with where the prize money for the UK show comes from.

The prize money will be included in the program budget as its an expense in the same way as the set or auditioning the contestents is.
