I think its absolute RUBBISH!!!. I think the mods are forgetting its threads like that, which keeps these forums ticking over in between series of SCD.

My number of posts has gone down, I was over 700 earlier and now I'm on 660

Don't understand how that has happened, it looks as though some have been taken away for some reason

Thats very petty.......I cant see what harm they are doing.....

Presumably if we had cast our votes and then given the reason why we had voted in that way, that would have constituted a discussion

I think if you had stuck to just a couple of threads it would have been okay but it had got a bit out of hand recently!

To be fair, you can still have them on the chatter forum if you want them

Also I have watched this forum tick over in between the last four series of Strictly... they do slow down but they're still pretty active considering. I don't have a problem with the threads being on here but I don't think they are needed just to keep the forum active.

My number of posts has gone down as well, I was over 400 when I last logged on! It's not a massive difference but I'm guessing it's got something to do with moving the game threads, so annoying.........

I expected it to happen as soon as all the extra ones popped up. If you had kept it to just the two threads I think they would've let them be. Even when they first swept the forum, they left the two original and longest threads there for us to use. They didn't move them until you started making all the new ones.

thats right blame it all on me

i think you may find it was somebody else, and thats when they got moved!
if you actually read them in the 'chatter' thread, non of us liked them being there! so thats when i said, ill make a new one and hope it stays in this area of the forum! but obviously it didnt. if you actually read the ONLY one i have ever made theres an explanation to why i made it. get your facts straight before you start accusing me please

Where was I blaming you personally? Don't get aggressive with me, that's utterly unnecessary. If you didn't want anyone to disagree with you, don't start the thread.

I think Psychosis could have meant 'you' in the collective sense? As in, all the people who were starting game threads.

it didnt come across that way to me

Physchosis: i only made this thread so people can maybe have a moan about them being moved, i dont care if people disagree with me, its bound to happen, its a forum. but if you wernt blaming me, then sorry. but it did come across to me that you were blaming it all on me when i only made the one, in the hope that it would stay on here.

"You" was the most appropriate word to use given that it was a group that included yourself. Next time, you check your facts please and make sure you know who you're shouting at before you leap into an immature rant. It's just a game. No need to get so aggressive even if I was blaming you (which I wasn't).

Personally I dont see any reason why they should have been moved. Its not as though it was a list of random people the elimination games were made up of...surely they have a place on SCD forum more than on a 'Chatter' forum given the fact it is all SCD related people they were about. There probably was too many of them going around, but if they were all active threads that were getting used on a regular basis, I really dont see what harm they were doing.

I'm as as the rest of you!

However, just a theory... but it occured to me that someone may have complained to the mods about the number of elimination threads suddenly appearing on the SCD board, so the PTB decided to move them. Maybe totally wrong of course, but just an idea!

What I really don't understand is why the Favourite Pro Award thread was moved.... that has me totally flumoxed (sp?) If that's not relevant to the Strictly boards... what is????

I dont get that either Lou...to me that thread was no different from the 'Poll' threads that are still here.
These threads might not be to everyones liking, but should have been left as a matter of choice. Like all other threads, once a particular 'elimintion' thread was over with..it would just have slipped down the pages. Why anyone would feel the need to complain about them (if indeed that is the case) is beyond me.

This HAS happened before, in the X-Factor forum. It's why I expected it

Agreed on all counts Dilly (as always )

I've just had a gander on the DOI board and their games are still going strong. The Elimination game was also alive and well throughout the entirety of Series 6 - perhaps that was seen as 'relevant' as the programme was on at the time! So still a bit

Loueez, I think it was the quantity of the games rather than the actual games that was the problem here. On the X-Factor board they didn't move them until there were a lot of them. On here, they didn't move them until there were a lot of them. There's only two in the DOI forum so that's probably why they haven't been seen as a problem (yet).

I think you're probably right there Psychosis

Still doesn't explain the Favourite Pro Awards thread though... that really is a mystery!
