Hi there KS. Yes, I like the idea. I've been following the news from your posts on DS and from occasional visits to US sites. At times it sounds almost hysterical, particularly the reactions of the video star ...lol

I am now trying to avoid spoilers for this show as I am certain that it will be picked up by a UK broadcaster soon. I tried to find a source for copies of the broadcast shows (and Survivor) but no luck.

Are you as confident that "Average Joe" will be picked up as well?
BTW, that reality show had it's finale tonight & will have a sequel - "Average Joe: Hawaii" commencing in mid-January. (It was shot last Summer).

Even though my Paris Hilton/"The Simple Life" thread has had over 3,600 hits (without any link to her sex video!) why hasn't even one poster responded with a comment or reaction. And that's after I personally coaxed them to after 1,000 hits. I'm stumped.

The number of hits. Perhaps those threads are appearing on search engines. This sometimes is the case with DS threads. particularly those that are titled with a full celebrity name.

Other wise, I would put it down to Paris Hilton's reputation. The fact that there is no link to 'that' video is immaterial ... people are interested.

I hope that 'Average Joe' is picked up by one of the UK telly companies. I doubt that it will be one of the majors, but I can see one of the smaller companies broadcasting the show given that it has been so popular in the US.

I doubt that 'Average Joe' will generate as much interest as the 'Simple Life'. Hilton, her family, her reputation will all guarantee this series a huge following in the UK. the interst is already here.

On 09-12-2003 E4 picks up "The Simple Life" which will start Tuesday January 6th at 9PM & will air it weekly.

To keep this on topic, I saw Nathan from BB4 USA briefly last night in a TV commercial for that new movie "BAD SANTA." He's not in the flick itself but appeared as one of those "random" moviegoers who comment on what they've just seen. (This is not confirmed yet - maybe it's his clone)

Your explanation as to the huge hit count for my posts on "The Simple Life" make sense...but there's one problem.There's 4,000 hits on one thread - yet only 25 on another (which is an actual video of Paris Hilton being "interviewed" in a racy comedy sketch). Go figure.
