I don't really like it to be honest...my mother pointed out he's got a hole in his white trousers in the video. Don't know whether to be disturbed by that....

Typical Children in Need single - absolutely awful.

I wonder what George Michael's cut is?

You've got your wish. According to the midweeks, he's way out in front of Will Young and will be number 1 next Sunday.

If he's number one its only because there's not enough Will Young stock in stores to meet demand

Sad, but true.

BMG have promised to rush stock to the shops for the weekend, but it will be too little, too late. There's no way Will can catch up now.

Good work, BMG.

If I were you I'd be disturbed that your mother had noticed that...

There's only one reason that this record is going to go to number one : Children In Need. I doubt that it would do it otherwise.

As for Shane Ritchie being amazing - how? Presumably someone in the BBC thought - "Hmm, who can we get to do the charity record this time. Let's see. Ooh, we've got Shane in EE, he can sing, we'll ask him."

It's true about Will Young. I've just been looking round the shops and everyone has number 2 completely sold out whereas Shane bl**** ba***** f******* Ritchie's grinning mug has been staring at me from every nook and cranny.

Be gone, demons. Be gone.

Will everyone please stop putting Shane down!! I think he's great, and I know I'm not alone in thinking that. I don't see any of you lot putting yourselves out for Children in Need and working for free. And if the single's that dreadful then why are so many people forking out the £3.99 to buy it and why is it in the running for the number one spot this week????? Huh???

BrysBopBopBaby I'm with you on this one hon!!!!!

I don't know why anyone is suprised that Shane has beat Will to No.1. Even if BMG were on their toes with distribution. Yes Will is fabulous etc but look at it this way.

Country's MOST popular actor, from the country's most popular soap, singing a popular song, all in aid of one of the country's most popular charities. Kaching!

Will people who defend Shane Ritchie's song by saying it's for Children in Need please remember they you can just DONATE money to a charity.

Anyone know how much money from each CD does NOT go to the charity?

Shane Ritchie has ruined the original song. He's a f***ing a*sehole that managed to revive his career (if you consider him to have one in the first place) by getting that story line on Eastenders.

The original wasn't that great, although it did inspire the Smiths' Panic, which is some consolation.

I have heard this song and I think it is crap. However, I would not go to say that all CIN songs were crap, the Perfect Day one was good though.

To be honest, I've never liked him at all, as an actor, singer or Saturday night television host (The Shane Richie Experience anyone? ).

Now, that show was a pile of shite!

Well I personally think he's got more fans out there than people who say he's a to**er. I think he's great, and so do millions of other people, so stuff all of you who think otherwise.
WE LOVE YOU SHANEYBABY!!!!!!
