It will be harder to find vides on Youtube of DWTS because ABC (the network it airs on here) has been pulling accounts of people who have been uploading episodes. So it might be much more difficult to find it.

I've never heard of most of the "stars"
![]() Jewel, who's now bowing out due to injury, is a huge star. Lil' Kim and Denise Richards are both very well known, even if half their fame is notoriety vs. anything actual talent based. Steve Wozniak is in many ways, a more important man than any of these people. He's NOT a celebrity in any real sense other than having appeared on a reality show with comedianne Kathy Griffen. But he co-founded Apple--one of the most influential companies in the world. He BUILT all the original Apple models, and the better known Steve Jobs was just the slick front man. Shawn Johnson should probably be known to anyone who watched the last Olympics. Although to be fair, aside from the fact that American athletes are obviously not "hyped" nearly as much Internationally, there's also the fact that Gymnastics is disproportionally important to Americans, I think. It's one of the two or three Olympic Sports most highlighted. Belinda Carlisle is not quite a superstar, but she's definitely a very well known and successful music star--at least in America. David Alan Grier is a comedian who was VERY famous at one point in the 80s, and has come back with a decent amount of fame in the past few years. That said, he never made any significant dent into movies, only TV, so I doubt he's all that well known outside of the U.S. Steve-O is another person, like Lil' Kim and Denise Richards, who's more notorious than talented. But in truth, to anyone in America who watches the MTV channel? They know him from a very controversial program called "Jackass". He was actually born in London, but with American and Canadian parents, not that anyone in the U.K. probably wants to claim him. Jackass was also made into several movies, which likely showed in Europe, and I think the Jackass TV series probably did too, although I know it was never the kind of cultural force it was in the U.S. Lawrence Taylor is a name which will be VERY well known to about 10% of Americans, mostly unknown by the rest, and also virtually unknown anywhere else in the world. Fans of American football who know the sport well enough to know players by name will know him VERY well. Otherwise? No. Nancy O'Dell, another person who was JUST announced to be too injured to continue, is someone who I guess could be said to be TOTALLY unknown outside of America, but probably pretty well known inside the U.S. She's a TV host/presenter on a show called "Access Hollywood", which everyone pretends to hate, but everyone watches. Basically its an on-air Celebrity tabloid. The rest of the cast can probably pretty accurately be described as nobodies. Jewel's HUSBAND, who's a rodeo star. Some other guy who had a bit role in the movie made from Sex and the City. And one other guy who's a generic, not that famous, Country singer, who got on the show only because he's dating dancer Julianne Hough, and the producers thought it might be funny to pair them together. Oh, and Jewel's replacement, Holly Madison, who's a Playboy Bunny interchangeable with most Playboy Bunnies, except she also "dated" Hugh Hefner (yuck!) and also a gross annoying magician called Criss Angel (also yuck!). |

Jewel - I had heard of the name and know she is a singer, but that's literally all
Belinda Carlisle, Shawn Johnson, Lil' Kim and Denise Richards - I know who they are Steve Wozniak - I know the name but wouldn't be able to place him unless prompted The rest I have never even heard off before. |

Catching the show just now. It is brilliant. Appears more 'ellectric' than the British show?

I prefer our show, but maybe thats because I know most of the pros. Still it is something to watch, and they have some great music and the camera work is so much better.

DWTS also dance American Smooth as opposed to the international style danced in UK. |
