Panasonic 32" & Digibox
I have just upgraded to a Panasonic 32" TV and have a small problem. My last TV was a Sanyo 28" and when i switched it on it went straight to AV1/RGB where my Digibox was plugged in.....The Panasonic won't do this, it go's to channel one, i want it to so the same as my old TV (sanyo).
Can you change this ? I have looked in the manual but can't find anything on it. Thanks in advance. |

But it should switch over if you turn the TV on first and then the digibox (assuming you're connecting by RGB scart). Think the default on position is last analogue channel, last screen mode when it was turned off, you need to hit AV or send it a wake-up signal to access all the goodies plugged in the back...

if you have more than one scart slots at the back of ure tv, then u may have put it in the wrong slot. have a look and make sure its going into the slot 1 so it'll go to RGB AV1. (i assume your digibox is still on "scart control")

My digibox is connect to my 28" Panasonic through AV1 but if you turn the Sky box on before the TV you have to manually change to AV1 to access Sky.
But if you turn the TV on and then the Sky box it auto switches to AV1. Most devides auto select when powered on and take over. My DVD works exactly the same, but on AV2. |

I have a panasonic 32" as well. Its a couple of years old and at the back of the instruction it says about the settings that remain after switching off. The AV position is meant to be one of them. Unforunately it doesn't do this and as mentioned before, starts on channel 1. Its obviously sorted by switching the digi box off then on again but is annoying non the less.

I don't know about the particular model of TV, but some only have Scart control on one of the sockets. Likewise you may have to set it like that in a set up menu, it's not always automatic.
As someone else suggested, try switching the TV on first, and then the digibox, and see if that works. If it doesn't, you could maybe try putting the cable into one of the other scart sockets on the back of the TV, and try that. Or, y'know, you could read the manual and see if it mentions anything. |
