When do the UK see the wildcard show?

Hiya,

Sorry if I'm being thick - as I'm visually impaired, I can't always scan through threads to check what's already been posted

I was just wondering, as Wildcards seem to be being selected tomorrow night in America, when will we see what happens in the UK? Still tomorrow, after the main 2 hour show, or on Friday? What about tomorrow's (in UK) results?

I go to pub quiz on Thursdays so I tape it all, and I'm going to the X Factor tour on Friday which will be amazing, but wouldn't mmiss AI for the world so I need to know pretty quickly what's going on!

If the wildcard show does happen tomorrow in America, it could be a disadvantage to contestants from Group 3 who are competing for wildcard slots and have had less time to rehearse another song, even if they all have to sing the same songs as before, which I doubt as poor song choices have ousted a few strong contenders in the past, Group 3 contestants will have had less time to get over the excitement/disappointment and generally overwhelming events of tonight and last night, if that makes sense

Anyway, hope someone can help me!

I think we see the wildcard show on Friday after the results show of Group 3. (In America the wildcard show is the day after the Group 3 results show)

I'm looking forward to this show. As for those from Group 3 who are chosen for the wildcard show, I'm not sure if it will be a disadvantage. I would guess that all the contestants have been told to rehearse another song in case they are picked for the wildcard show.

I've just had a look at the ITV schedule for this week on their official site and it seems that we have two 1hr shows tomorrow as usual which must be the group 3 performances with that awful Paris Hilton programme in the middle.

Then on Friday night, instead of the usual 1 hour show there is a two hour slot from 9 til 11.

I'm not sure how long the Wildcard show is in the US but it could be that both the group 3 results show and the wildcard show are going to be shown in that 2 hour slot on Friday ... there are a lot of adverts in the American show plus a lot of repeating of performance clips and filler bits so it could be that ITV are going to cut out a lot of the ad breaks and pointless chat and fit it all in on Friday.

I was thinking that too .. and I think that the judges probably already have a good idea who they would pick for the wildcard show if they don't get through so those people are probably getting more rehearsal time for a second song.

Also the people performing this week have had a couple of weeks longer than the previous two groups to learn their songs so they've had enough time to run through two songs.

Thanks guys, as my mum pointed out, they will also have had more recent exposure than most of the previous non-finalists

Hope it works out form some of my favs lol! Don't want to have to wait too long, seeing as I'm not in tomorrow evening, I might check out who's got a Wildcard slot, whilst trying to to see the main results lol, that wouldn't spil too much and even if it does, at least I won't have heard the singing and can get to work on what I reckon the wildcards should sing! Lol

I'm not sure I understand. Do the wildcard contestants perform and then straight after, the judges decide who goes through? Or do we wait another week for those results?

I think we'll get the results straight away, but I',m not certain

Ah. I hope so because I really don't want to wait another week to find out who the final 12 are!

We get the result of the wildcard show at the end of the show as its the judges who decide whose going through and not the public. If anyone's awake at 1 a.m. you can see the wildcard show online.

Next week the top 12 perform which I'm really looking forward to. Its been a long time coming!
