I got a Sony W302 Walkman mobile last month with FM radio. I was wondering if it was worth my while getting a Sony MP3 player to replace my 2gb basic MP3 player that I have had for the last 2 years.
Im asking as I got the Sony Walkman on my mobile and dont want to spend money if I dont have to.
Im going on holiday in September for a week.

OK, ask yourself a question.

Would it not be easier to carry just one device about; a phone and a music player, and extending the capacity to 4/8GB for about 20 quid? You don't want to spend money if you don't have to, well you don't have to! So is the current capacity of your phone enough for the music you want to hold?

Yes? Then don't get the Walkman.

No? Get the Walkman.

My phone came with an 512mb M2 card and I bought a 1gb M2 card for £6.99. I can see what you mean by I may not want to carry two devices about. Im finding my Sony W302 mobile needs charged every 36 hours or so as battery is down to 38%/35% by then. A little less if im using MP3 player or FM radio. Im going to Canada(Toronto area) for a week in September.

a seperate mp3 player would also need charging

just use your phone, 1 less item to carry, charge, worry about etc

as for the battery, see if you can adjust anything to make it last longer:
turn down display brightness
turn off anything you dont use, eg bluetooth
