Cancelling Sky Talk
We're in the process of cancelling my fathers Sky service (Talk, TV & Broadband) - long story, but basically he'll be handing over the property to my sister (who'll no doubt want to subscribe to Sky at some point - but I digress.
The question is - When Sky Talk is cancelled will the BT service simply resume? He pays his line rental to BT - Sky's letter says that only emergency calls may be possible after the cancellation date. Does he need to let BT know, and more over will BT insist on a new 12 month agreement? As I mentioned my sis will be taking over at the property in the coming months and will want to transfer things into her name. So why not transfer the Sky services directly to her then? Well his Sky digi box is old and somewhat flaky and as a new customer she'll get a new Sky + box installation and possibly some other new customer benefits (M&S vouchers perhaps?) Are we likely to encounter problems here? |
