Actually, this line is spoken by the Doctor to Clara, it's got nothing to do with Missy. According to a crew member, PC was supposed to read the line, but he'd left so someone else spoke it in his place.
Slayer2012
The Doctor saying it makes no sense. The Doctor is manipulative but he would never go inside a companion's mind. Plus, how would it be Clara's nightmare scenario?
I suppose it could be if they're going for 'because Clara is a control freak so she's not in control' but even so, it would make much more sense coming from Missy IMO.

Until we know in what context the line is spoken there's no point saying "it doesn't make sense." It could be spoken in jest or he and Clara could have some telepathic link for some reason (all pure speculation on my part), so we shouldn't make assumptions and dismiss it as nonsense until we know the whole picture.
You're not new to the show, DB. He has been in his companion's minds on several occasions.
Not to possess them. He has manipulated companions but that isn't the same as being in their mind. He did get into Donna's mind to remove all traces of him but that isn't the same as controlling.

Option 1: Clara's turned bad and the Doctor's found out.
Option 2: It's a baddie disguising itself as the Doctor to mess with Clara's mind.
Option 3: He's talking emotionally and they've just realised they're madly in love with each other.:D
Option 4: It's a body swap and (as I suggested elsewhere in the dark recesses of this forum) Jenna Coleman gets to play the first female Doctor (sort of).:D
I disagree. It's called a 'Christmas' special for a reason. Otherwise it is just a special.
You can disagree all you like, it doesn't mean you're right.
Let's look at a classic example. "Only Fools and Horses". Before Doctor Who and after Morecambe & Wise it was the BIG show on Christmas Day for years. In the early days the specials were Christmas focused but then clearly there's only so far you can take the idea of mishaps at Christmas so the specials just became...specials. Did they suffer? No, they improved as did ratings.
After your dinner you just want a fun roller coaster ride. There's plenty enough Christmas around on the streets from mid-October onwards without Doctor Who needing sentient tinself or whatever the next Christmas gimmick is.

Exactly, 'Last Christmas' wasnt viewed in particularly high favour by many who use this forum, removing Christmas as a theme would make specials much more exciting!

If there's no Christmas elements in the episode, they may as well put it on in the middle of July or at the end of January or any point of the bloody year.
Only Fools & Horses' later specials could have been on at any point of the year. You even say yourself they're no longer 'Christmas' specials.
This year will be the 50th Anniversary of the first Doctor Who Christmas special - The Feast of Steven and the 10th since The Christmas Invasion. I really hope the special this year will be spectacular, action packed, funny and exciting. Don't want a repeat of Last Christmas do we?

Really?
Surely a programme is a 'Christmas Special' if it's -
a) outside the usual run of episodes, and
b) shown around Christmas.
So it doesn't actually have to be about Christmas, or set specifically at Christmas to be a Christmas Special.

Some of us happened to think 'Last Christmas'was fantastic thanks. But then those that didn't probably prefer Titanic in Space and pint sized Australian pop mewlers operating forklifts badly like a toy town version of Ellen Ripley. It's basically horses for courses is it not?

He's directed for Atlantis a lot too. I wonder if we might get any cast members from that series in his block. Robert Emms would be a great addition for this show.

See this is why I avoided the forums when Last Christmas was shown. I thought it was amazing, brilliantly written and the idea was incredible. A far cry from the genuinely awful RTD Christmas specials we were forced to suffer year on year. I now have rage about it 5 months too late. How could that have not been enjoyed!? Blah.
In some of those images, he appears to be chasing something.
Given it's a children's playground, could:
A: The Maitland kids be returning?
B: Clara give birth to a baby and we see the baby as a five year old kid?
C: The Adipose return. The Doctor be chasing a new alien baby not seen in the show before or a new alien toddler/kid.
Unless you have precognitive powers, we don't know what this year's stinker will be until the episodes air. We might get lucky and the worst episode might just be an average one at best.
Not to possess them. He has manipulated companions but that isn't the same as being in their mind. He did get into Donna's mind to remove all traces of him but that isn't the same as controlling.
To be able to manipulate someone successfully, you need to 'get in their mind'. It is not a literal thing, rather a metaphorical turn of phrase. And one that 7 used as a mechanism quite a lot throughout his tenure.

If there's no Christmas elements, not in my opinion.
Well, yes.
Starter, main or dessert?

That'll be this year's stinker, then.
Well, that's a gift for the Moffat dislikers.
"See, here's the proof. Doctor Who is definately on the slide."

Peter Capaldi is the ChildCatcher...
