Anyone seen the DVD upscalers in action at all ??
If so what are they like ? Argos doing them for £49 for a Warlfdale one or £99 for a Panasonic one which will work well with my Viera PX60

I also spent quite a bit more than the prices you have mentioned.
To be perfectly honest I wouldn't waste money on cheap/budget versions. You might get a very small improvement via HDMI, but in terms of HD picture quality, not a hope.
IMO - You would be better off spending the £99 on a non-scaler, one with component outputs if you can accommodate them.
As the old saying goes - You get what you pay for.
Not far off HD it has to be said, very good.
