After having listened to Virgin for the first time in ages Sunday evening i must say i think the station has become a lot better. I heard Geoff last night for the first time followed by Tim Lichfield and not only is it playing a variety of music but also there is some personality there as well.
I can but hope Iain Lee is used to the best of his ability, i think he deserves more than just a weekly show and by the sounds of things he has got a year contract with Virgin so maybe he will be used as a cover jock in the summer if nothing else?

Looks great to me, but only if Geoff was given free reign on the breakfast show and they dropped the features and endless competitions. A bit more music and a bit more intelligent chat / banter would be good.
I would like a ban on all playlisted songs between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
Virgin has gone really over the top with playing the same set of songs over and over again 24 hours a day and it would be nice to give them a rest for those who like to listen to a music station longer than 30 minutes.

Totally agree but it will never happen. So I am told, people tune in to hear certain well played tracks - I don't agree with it, as I would love to hear tracks rarely played - the people 'in the know' believe that listeners would tune out if they didn't hear Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars every other hour !!!
I think they should try a week of 'no repeat 9 to 5' like the old days, or even better 'no repeat 24 hours' , and see how well it's received - I think they would be surprised.

You're always gonna get competitions on commercial radio though. When Pete&Geoff were on breakfast I actually usually quite enjoyed them because they usually did something different with them. That must be good for the advertiser too.

Neither would I, as Sarah Champion was Geoff's cover when she did Sunday evenings.
