I was watching BGT and wondered wether she has had botox? Her lips were massive and all swollen and she certainly looked rougher than she usually does!

It looks as if she's had an industrial-strength load of the stuff pumped into her face.
She has said that she would have plastic surgery and mentioned Sharon Osbourne, Amanda is only in her late 30's hardly wrinkle city is it? If she has had surgery then she is mad.
There are lots of older female actresses who age really well, Alison Steadman, Linda Bellingham, Amanda Redman etc (unless I'm going to be shot down and people tell me they've had work). Amanda is naturally beautiful, and still quite young - I wonder why she'd succumb to the pressure to go under the knife? It's such a shame IMHO.

Linda Bellingham? Oh dear. Here's what she looked like once upon a time:
I remember many years ago when she had a nose job. Look at her nose, it looks done and it is done.
I am sure she admits to having surgery and whatever else done, it's so obvious if you look at old photos of her.
There is so much that people can have done these days, why would an older actress want to grow older gracefully?
I don't understand why anyone would not have botox. The alternative is wrinkles. I'd rather not have the wrinkles. Why would anyone want wrinkles?
When women are younger, they do all they can to look nice. Hair cut, coloured, and whatever else. Make-up, facials, visit to beauty salons, nails done, time spent at the gym, eat sensibly, etc etc.
But when an actress (or any woman) gets older, eventually, all the beauty treatments and facials in the world become a waste of time because the ageing process has begun to take its toll.
What does a woman do then? Give up and let time ravage her beautiful face? Or have a facelift, botox, fillers?
It's the ones who have it done badly who attract criticism - like Amanda Holden.
But some older actresses who still look presentable will have had more botox than Amanda Holden has had hot dinners. But because they have forked out a bit more money and gone to a very good surgeon, nobody suspects a thing.
The way to decide if an older actress has had a facelift or botox or whatever is this - if she is over a certain age and she still looks good - she's had surgery,
Why is this moving on to Linda Bellingham who looks dreadful in that pic by the way
I remember Holden in Cutting It and thought she was quite pretty then, but most recently I saw her on was GMTV talking about quitting a show in South Africa I think. Anyway, she looked vert taut and her faced hardly moved. I think, if she is having work done its not agreeing with her. I'd stop personally with all the botox but people can get hooked on these things
No of course not. But I think Amanda looked older than that, I think she's too thin and it ages her. She could also do with a better stylist and a haircut.
She could also try cutting back on the fillers and botox. She's gone down the Kylie/Nicole Kidman route of using far too much.
The thing is, Holden looked fine 2 years ago - not old, not fat, not out of proportion. Why did she alter her perfectly fine face? She looks crazy now. She should have left her face being 37 as I'm sure it would have been fine.
What does a woman do then? Give up and let time ravage her beautiful face? Or have a facelift, botox, fillers?
Personally, I'm not against botox, fillers or facelifts. As and when the time comes, I'm sure I'll go for it myself, but I do think that if you're going to do it, then FGS have a good, discreet job done. You'd think that with all her money, she could afford to have it done properly.
Man, that botox makes someone look totally different, you don't even know who it is.
Actually it doesn't really. Botox only relaxes the muscles, so you don't frown.
If someone's face looks really different (e.g. wide eyed expression or taut skin) I would suspect a mini face lift or brow lift. As for swollen lips - that's usually due to (too much) filler.

sorry, possibly my fault. I thought she was similar to AH in that she works on ITV a lot, and she still gets vampish sorts of roles (ie in Bonkers), but she doesn't look like the Bride of Wildenstein. I thought the dodgy teeth were a sign she'd not had work done, but I am lousy at spotting this sort of thing. It would be a miracle if I spotted a new hooter ! (it would have to be bad).

Well as bad as Linda looks Amanda is worse :D
She did look quite scary in some of the clips on BGT last night, and it's interesting how these kind of programmes seem to reveal people as they really are - even when they think they're putting on an act - Since watching her in this, I've come to see her as really self-obsessed and over ambitious in her promotion of herself, whereas before, I used to think she was ok.

True enough about the facelift. But botox under the eyes near the crow's feet will make someone look startled and unnatural. I think Eva Longoria has been done here because of her weird eye expression. The forehead is more subtle and unless it's overdone, e.g. Kylie, I think most people get away with it.
The fillers are the giveaway with Amanda. A touch of filler in the nose to mouth lines are fine at smoothing deep creases but when they have a job-lot done above the mouth and in the mouth to chin folds the result is like Amanda's or Nicole Kidman. Swollen hamster cheeks, a down-turned mouth and bloated Tweenie style upper lip.

Botox can make it very, very difficult for a person to move their face if they have too much. Too much of the stuff can give the frozen-stuck-in-a-windstorm look, and for an actress especially, that is soooo not a good look!
I don't know what's going on with Amanda Holden's forehead lately either.... I'm sure it never used to look so spammy.

Why people just can't age naturally I don't know but apparently it's all part of the Britain's Gone Cosmetic Surgery Craze.
Linda Bellinghams teeth are horrific.

God,she looked so much better before. She had nice features and was ageing well IMO
Poor Les Dennis must be laughing his head off now when he sees her, what a mess, she's like something in Madame Tussaud's .

She could be in her 20s, I'm not kidding.
She's 48 this year. She could pass for 28.
I will assume therefore, that her face is full of botox etc.
I doubt that she looks the way she does because Mother Nature has been incredibly kind to her.
