We (the oh and I) thought we had sorted out the 3 names for our triplet girls which are due in 8 days time (if they dont come before then)
We had originally chosen Abbie, Lucy and Sarah as the three first names, but last night I was thinking and decided I didnt like the name sarah, mainly because my surname, which the babies are taking, has 3 R's in the spelling and having Sarah means it doesnt really flow like Abbie does.
Also, whilst at the hospital this morning for the final scan, the OH turns to me and says there is something she doesnt like about the name Lucy and wants to change it to something else.
So, we are back to the drawing board, we like Abbie and for that reason, we are looking to use this as one of the names, its just the other two we are a little short of ideas. ideally, we are looking for names which don't contain the letter R (odd, I know) We are open to suggestions but obviously no stupid suggestions like Apple, Cruz and the like.
Personally I like names which are a bit uncommon without being outrageous. I like Athene and Venetia.
Sarah and Lucy are lovely names ( Lucy is my Confirmation name and my grandmother's name ) but a bit too commonplace now, I think.
Abbie ( to me ) is not a proper name - it is short for Abigail. Although I know that it has become popular now as a given name. For the same reason it has become a bit too popular - there will probably be half a dozen Abbies and Sarahs and Lucys in her class at school.

If the FM was born Olivia Elton Madonna Kylie Newton John (just a random example) when they were confirmed they could pick a totally different name to live the rest of their life with. It doesnt have to be your middle name/ first name although a lot of people use it. Hope that helps
oh dammit, I was going to suggest Megan! Such a pretty name.
Its funny how peoples opinions on names differ....whenever I hear the name Megan, all I can see is the girl in my year at school ages back who used to pick her nose and wipe it on her sleeve and refused to shave her legs.
I wouldnt consider it pretty at all for that reason
Comments
Are they having middle names?
I got flamed on here once for making that very point

It's where you get "confirmed" into the Catholic Church - you have to pick a saint's name to add to your own given name.
But you don't use it in everyday life - it's just another middle name.
cant have molly or meg/megan for that matter as my nan and mum have dogs by those names
Not a big fan of grace - however when we found out it was triplets, the first comment made was you should call them hope faith and charity
good
i quite like the name ruby!
If I had triplet girls, I'd go for Nancy, Yasmin and Sophia. I really wouldn't want their names too samey.
I'm liking Henry for a boy at the mo.

Good Luck with the babies! Let us know what you decide (if you have a spare minute sometime before they start school!)

I'm a big fan of traditional names, not these 'faddy' names that will date a kid big time in the future (like Kylie, Beyonce, Britney etc.).
I like Charlotte for a girl, Ben for a boy
Lucie, Sophie and Charlotte maybe?
Vanessa I like too!
