This series of adverts is ABSOLUTELY annoying! Hearing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...." like 10 times over a day is quite frankly annoying.
Just now on ITV Central, it was like:
Start Commercial
*random advert*
Asda advert
*random advert*
Asda advert
*random advert*
Asda advert
End Commercial
It's really annoying IMO.

They did it twice in succession - torture:(
Can't say I've noticed it on much myself, but any ad that's on more than a couple times an evening is infuriating.
Who cares if asda are cheaper then tesco, Tesco have more special deals ect...!!
..with the considerable added bonus of being far less likely to have to endure the trauma of seeing an ITV programme
:);)
You watch tv all day long? Get a job.
Good luck in my Tesco's (also in Cheshire). They are always out of stock on nearly everything I ever go in there for.
I sung along earlier at our local Asda:D
It will in a couple of weeks
They also have Des O'Connor singing
my tesco is crap (Crewe) , but thats not the point lmao
Morrisons is best IMO lol
And there latest adverts are annoying, that same annoying song playing every time. and when it shows the prices of some things and shows the previous price, these are not very good savings, a bottle of champagne now at £17 ok sounds ok but then you see the previous price £17.44 or something like that, oh wow i've saved 44 pence on a bottle of bubbly, oh gosh i should buy a new dress with the money i've saved
it was the same with a christmas pudding and something different. I'm sorry but seeing a saving of 44 pence is not going to get me shopping there.
Oh and to the person at the beginning of the thread who said at least the advertising people have done their job, well not really, they have done part of it by getting people to talk about it, but adverts are supposed to get you to shop there. Asda don't make money with people talking about them
No I don't. My point in the opening post "like 10 times over a day" was exagerration.
How much do their cards cost? Someone suggested them, I went to their site, it didn't work as the cards didn't come up. I've not been back since.
Exactly.
I have only ever used them once, i normally use remind4u.com but i think the card i bought (personalised) was about £3 with something like 40p postage but i think some cards might be prices different. Don't take my word for it though as i can't remember fully.
The Asda one is REALLY annoying now ( and I used to love that song!). It does Asda no good at all - why thrust it in our faces every other advert??! It's not making me want to go there and shop, it just makes me want to F/Forward!
PS: I love Christmas really
PPS: There's no Asda store in my town anyway, I use Tesco's or Morrisons. Or the local corner shop.
ASDA are the UK's second biggest supermarket chain in the UK now more popular the Lord Sainbury him self Jamie oliver. There advertising is doing its job me thinks:rolleyes:
It isn't just down to adverts that they are popular. If lots of people are complaining that they are annoying, then its bound to mean other people do not like them. Asda are good at putting stores at big places, in big cities, in very accessible locations and outbidding other stores for locations. People who live near an asda are not going to travel miles to shop in a tesco in the next city, so they just go to asda. If asda was our local supermarket we would go there, but our local store is a morrisons so we shop there, and at times somerfield.
Yes adverts will help with people but that is not just what gets people shopping there, same with other stores
so Asda would have to pay to use it and everytime it plays anywhere (like on Paul O'grady today) ,money goes to macca.
