I think shwarz do one, haven't seen bisto's. To be honest, it is worth spending a little extra time and making a sauce from scratch, there is just too much salt and other ghastly additives in packet stuff like this.
I love the way you ask a question on here and you get a couple of good answers and then loads of replies asking what you want to know that for, or don't do that do this instead
Anyway, they stopped selling it in Asda too I wonder if they are going to stop making it.
And I agree with the poster who mentions "I love the way you ask a question on here and you get a couple of good answers and then loads of replies asking what you want to know that for, or don't do that do this instead" above.
If someone WANTED answers like that, they would ask "Why would someone use Bisto Cheese Sauce Mix" NOT "Who stocks Bisto Cheese Sauce".
If I want something to put over my cauliflower when I've worked an 18 hour day, I'll use a sauce mix, and add to it what I want.
I don't need anyone asking me to list the ingredients, or telling me to make it myself. I am more than capable of making a cheese sauce from scratch, but will use a mix when it suits me.

Exactly, so surely it's better to learn to make it from scratch then?

They may have stopped selling the Bisto cheese sauce in Asda, but they are still selling their own instant cheese sauce in tubs. In my local Asda this morning, these tubs were on the top shelf above gravy granules etc.

Probably don't want to risk being prosecuted under the trade description act.

It's a great cheat ingredient
I just add salt and ground pepper, tsp mustard, and some grated cheese, and no-one knows I didn't make it myself
Much easier in a jug than mucking up a saucepan with making a roux etc.
Indeed!
My stepmum made some tea with this once and it was vile!!
It probably contains everything but cheese.:D
Teabags are usually a better choice.

Laziness and ease of use.
